The outlet attributed the account to cruise YouTuber Just Don and a reader; the sources reviewed do not include Carnival confirming this specific case. The reported details should therefore be treated as an account, not an established Carnival announcement.
What was reported about the nine-year-old?
Cruise Passenger said the child damaged an arcade machine and fought with another child while reportedly unsupervised aboard a Carnival ship. Those details, including the claim of a lifetime ban, come from the outlet’s account and have not been independently confirmed in the sources reviewed. The child’s identity and other personal details have not been established.
What does Carnival’s policy allow?
Carnival’s Code of Conduct says disruptive behavior that affects the comfort, enjoyment, safety or well-being of guests or crew can lead to disembarkation and a ban from future sailings. It also says children should be supervised. Carnival describes the expectation this way: “Our experience has taught us that everyone has a better time when children are supervised, noise in the hallways is kept to a minimum, guests follow queues, and that a spirit of community and neighborliness is shown by all.”
The policy establishes that Carnival reserves the right to respond to disruptive conduct; it does not confirm what happened in this reported case or make a lifetime ban automatic for a particular behavior.

What responsibility do accompanying adults have?
Carnival’s ticket contract places responsibility for minors’ safety and behavior on the adults accompanying them. It also gives Carnival authority to disembark guests and restrict future sailing for disruptive behavior. Separately, Carnival’s Youth Program policy says the program may deny a child admission for unruly behavior or when the child or guardian violates Carnival or Youth Programs policy.
These rules describe Carnival’s general authority and the responsibilities it assigns to adults. They do not independently verify the reported events or establish that the child in the Cruise Passenger account received a ban.
