A strong LinkedIn Company Page starts with accurate, complete details, then earns attention through useful posts, relevant invitations, employee participation, and regular review of its analytics. Use the workflow below to set up the Page and improve it based on how your audience responds.

How do I create a LinkedIn Company Page?

LinkedIn lists Company, Showcase, and educational institution Pages. Choose a Company Page for an organization’s main presence; a Showcase Page is a related Page for a distinct brand, business unit, or initiative, while educational institutions have a Page type of their own. LinkedIn describes Pages as places to share industry updates, job opportunities, information about organizational life, and other organization news. Page features and permissions can vary.

LinkedIn’s current creation guidance says you can create a Page on desktop or in the LinkedIn iOS app, but not on Android mobile. Platform support can change, so check LinkedIn’s Create a LinkedIn Page instructions if your available options differ.

  1. Sign in to the LinkedIn account you will use to create the Page.
  2. Open the Page creation flow and choose the appropriate Page type.
  3. Enter the organization’s information and confirm that you are authorized to act for it.
  4. Review the details before submitting. LinkedIn assigns the creator the super admin role after the Page is created.

Before creating a new Page, check whether the organization already has one. If it does, ask an existing administrator to grant you the right access rather than creating a duplicate.

What should I put on my LinkedIn Company Page?

Make the Page recognizable and useful to someone who has not encountered the organization before. Use consistent naming and branding, and make the organization’s purpose, audience, and next step clear. LinkedIn recommends completing fields such as industry, company size, overview, description, logo, commitments, website URL, location, a call-to-action option, and work-email verification. Follow the fields available in your Page’s current editing interface.

  • Logo: Use the organization’s current logo and check that it remains legible at the size LinkedIn displays it.
  • Overview and description: Explain what the organization does, whom it serves, and what makes its work relevant. Prefer clear, specific language to slogans.
  • Industry and company size: Choose accurate values so visitors can understand the organization and LinkedIn can categorize the Page.
  • Website and location: Provide a working destination and the location information that fits the organization.
  • Commitments: Complete this section only with information the organization can accurately support.
  • Call to action: Use an available CTA that matches the visitor’s likely next step, such as visiting the website.

LinkedIn says Pages with complete information, including a logo, description, and website URL, may receive 30% more weekly views than incomplete Pages. This is LinkedIn’s platform-reported comparison, not a guaranteed result. See Complete your LinkedIn Page.

Free Pages can add a CTA through the More menu. A custom CTA button is limited to Premium Company Page subscribers, according to LinkedIn’s guidance. Check your Page’s available options because features may change.

How often should a company post on LinkedIn?

Choose a sustainable schedule that lets you publish consistently without sacrificing usefulness. LinkedIn supports text, image, video, and document posts, and Page admins can draft or schedule posts. Use formats that fit the information rather than forcing every update into the same shape. LinkedIn’s posting guidance is at Post as your LinkedIn Page.

LinkedIn says Pages that post weekly have five times more followers and grow seven times faster than Pages that post monthly. Its separate marketing page says companies posting weekly see 2x higher engagement compared with less frequent posting, without specifying the baseline in the available description. These are LinkedIn-reported comparisons; they do not establish that posting frequency alone caused the differences or guarantee that a particular Page will see the same results. See LinkedIn’s Company Page guidance.

Build a repeatable content mix

Plan a small number of themes that serve the people you want to reach. For example, an organization might share useful industry context, explain its work or workplace, announce job opportunities, and point readers to relevant resources. Keep posts accurate, audience-focused, and connected to the Page’s purpose.

Make the schedule manageable

Decide who drafts, reviews, and publishes posts, then schedule what you can maintain. A calendar helps prevent long silent stretches and makes it easier to assess which themes are worth continuing. Do not treat the weekly comparison as a requirement to publish low-value updates.

How do I get more followers on my LinkedIn Company Page?

Focus on attracting people likely to care about the organization, not simply increasing the follower count. LinkedIn lets eligible admins invite first-degree connections, but invitations use monthly credits shared across Page admins, eligibility rules apply, and the Page must complete key details. LinkedIn advises inviting people who are likely to be interested. Its current instructions, including credit and eligibility details, are at Invite connections to follow your LinkedIn Page; availability and credits can vary.

Premium Company Page features include inviting followers of similar Pages and automatically inviting people who engaged with Page content. These features are not necessary to maintain a useful Page; check the options and terms shown in your own Page before relying on them.

Give employees a practical way to participate

Employees can help the Page reach people who already know the organization. Share relevant Page posts internally, make it easy for employees to identify the official Page, and encourage them to engage or share when a post is genuinely useful to their networks. LinkedIn’s business guidance recommends employee participation, but it is a tactic rather than a guaranteed growth lever.

Engage beyond your own posts

Respond to comments and participate constructively in relevant conversations. LinkedIn’s posting guide also recommends interacting with other Pages and members as a way to expose the brand to new audiences. Keep engagement relevant and genuine; avoid treating unrelated comments as a promotional checklist. See LinkedIn’s guide to Page posting.

How do I measure LinkedIn Company Page performance?

Use analytics to answer specific questions: Is the Page reaching the people it is meant to serve? Which posts prompt useful action or discussion? Are follower trends changing after a content or outreach adjustment? LinkedIn’s Follower analytics for your LinkedIn Page include follower trends and demographic attributes such as location, seniority, job function, industry, and company size.

Some demographic values are rounded, and demographic reporting requires a minimum number of unique visitors. Some reporting depends on Premium features. Check the reporting interface for the figures and breakdowns available to your Page.

Read post metrics in context

Where available, review post-level measures such as reach, impressions, clicks, reactions, comments, reposts, and engagement rate. Each describes a different part of a post’s performance: exposure, action, or interaction. Compare posts with similar purposes and formats rather than assuming that the biggest impression count means the post best served the organization.

Close the loop

  1. Set a clear audience and purpose for the Page.
  2. Publish a repeatable mix of relevant posts.
  3. Review follower trends and post-level results at regular intervals.
  4. Identify which themes or formats are associated with useful audience responses.
  5. Adjust the next content cycle and observe whether the response changes.

LinkedIn positions analytics as a way to examine trends and inform content strategy in its LinkedIn Pages playbook. Treat analytics as feedback for decisions, not proof that one change caused every movement in results.

A practical operating checklist

  • Create the correct Page type and ensure the right people have admin access.
  • Complete the organization details and check that links, branding, and descriptions are accurate.
  • Define audience-relevant post themes and a schedule the team can sustain.
  • Invite eligible, relevant connections and involve employees where appropriate.
  • Engage with audience comments and relevant Pages or members.
  • Review available follower and post analytics, then adjust the content plan based on observed responses.
