5 Crypto Picks Touted to Explode in 2025: What Changed Since

The 2025 list of Qubetics, XRP, TRX, XLM, and “SNC” is not a current investment ranking. Qubetics later reported a TICS migration and a change to its development plans.

The five coins in this headline are a dated, speculative selection—not a current “best crypto” list. TechBullion published its picks on February 7, 2025, and no verified performance results establish that they made the predicted moves. The most material update is Qubetics: in an October 6, 2026 update, the project said TICS had migrated to Ethereum and that it was no longer commissioning development of its previously proposed Layer 1, chain abstraction protocol, or dVPN under the existing structure.

What did the 2025 article actually claim?

TechBullion’s February 7, 2025 article named Qubetics (TICS), XRP, Tron (TRX), Stellar (XLM), and Sonic, which it called “SNC,” as possible 2025 movers. It framed the picks around potential upside and described projects or use cases; it did not establish that any coin would rise, and the year in its headline has passed.

The article also reported that Qubetics had raised more than $12 million, sold more than 461 million tokens, and had over 18,600 holders. Those are claims made in that February 2025 article, not independently verified figures or current metrics. Its presale pricing and projected return are historical projections, not evidence of realized performance.

How do the five picks compare with what is established now?

Asset February 2025 article’s framing What is established here
Qubetics (TICS) Presale, a proposed real-world-asset tokenization marketplace, and other planned features. Qubetics’ October 2026 update describes a changed development direction and an Ethereum migration. See the details below.
XRP Cross-border payments, institutions, and CBDCs. The article’s claims are not independently validated here; current performance and adoption are not established.
Tron (TRX) Entertainment, dApps, DeFi, NFTs, and development tools. Current project status and adoption claims are not independently validated here.
Stellar (XLM) Remittances and payments, alongside historical organization and company references. Current project status and adoption claims are not independently validated here.
Sonic (“SNC” in the article) Speed and scaling advantages. The intended token identity, ticker, and current status have not been established here. Do not assume “SNC” means a similarly named asset.

What changed for Qubetics and TICS?

In its October 6, 2026 update, Qubetics said TICS had migrated to Ethereum as an ERC-20 token. The project also said it was no longer commissioning continued development of its previously proposed Layer 1, chain abstraction protocol, or dVPN under the existing development structure, and that it was reviewing token allocations and project materials. These are statements from Qubetics, not independent verification of the migration, allocation status, or future plans.

That changes how to read the 2025 article’s descriptions of Qubetics’ planned technology: those descriptions were historical proposals, not evidence that the features were delivered or remain on the roadmap. The project’s update put it this way: “Changing direction does not rewrite that history.” The quote is from Qubetics; no named speaker was identified.

Migration is not the same as exchange availability

Qubetics’ migration guide describes a 1:1 migration for eligible balances based on a snapshot. That ratio does not establish that every holder is eligible, that a balance has already migrated, or that TICS can currently be bought or sold. The guide directs holders to their exchanges for exchange-specific listing, deposit, withdrawal, and support information. Check the guide and the relevant exchange’s current instructions before taking action; do not send tokens to an address based on an old presale page or an unverified message.

How to interpret the published supply figure

Qubetics’ token information page states a total supply of 1.36 billion TICS. The figure is project-published and the page was accessed in 2026; it is not an independently verified circulating-supply number. Because Qubetics says it is reviewing token allocations and project materials, readers should confirm the current token structure and on-chain supply before relying on that figure.

Does this establish which coin is best to invest in?

No. The available evidence does not establish current market performance, liquidity, or a defensible return forecast for any of the five assets. The article’s old projections cannot answer what an asset is worth now, and a project description is not proof of adoption or investment performance. There is therefore no evidence-based ranking of these five coins by expected return here.

If you are assessing one of them today, separate the questions that a promotional ranking tends to blend together:

  • Identity: Confirm the exact asset, ticker, and network. This is especially important for the article’s “SNC” label; do not infer which Sonic token it meant.
  • Current project status: Compare current official statements with the older claims. For TICS, account for the migration and the changed development structure rather than treating the 2025 roadmap as current.
  • Token mechanics: Verify supply, allocation, vesting or unlock information, and the exact migration requirements using current project materials and on-chain records where possible.
  • Market access: Check whether a reputable venue currently supports the exact token and network, and whether deposits and withdrawals are enabled. A migration guide alone does not prove trading availability or liquidity.
  • Evidence of use: Look for dated, independently checkable evidence supporting any adoption or utility claim, rather than relying on a project’s proposed use cases or an old article’s description.
  • Personal risk: Decide whether you can tolerate a total loss before investing in a highly speculative cryptoasset. A forecast, presale figure, or list of potential catalysts is not a substitute for that decision.

What can a reader conclude from the 2025 picks?

They show which five assets TechBullion highlighted in February 2025, not which were the best investments then or are now. The later Qubetics update materially changes the context for TICS, while the claims for XRP, TRX, XLM, and “SNC” remain unverified here. Without current, reliable evidence on performance, liquidity, adoption, and—in Sonic’s case—token identity, “set to explode” is a headline prediction, not an investment conclusion.
