Fully diluted valuation and market capitalization are different
Fully diluted valuation uses the maximum supply in the calculation. Market capitalization at a given time instead uses the circulating supply at that time, so it would vary as circulating supply changes. Cardano’s 2026 supply information reports a total supply of 38,692,649,825 ADA for the historical snapshot associated with epoch 637, which began on 13 June 2026. That is a dated supply figure, not a live circulating-supply figure; it should not be substituted for one when calculating market capitalization.
What could affect ADA’s role on the network?
Cardano describes ADA as the network’s currency, used for fees, staking, governance, and services provided by applications. These uses help explain what the token does within Cardano, but they do not by themselves establish a price or imply that ADA will reach a particular valuation.

Cardano’s official announcement says the Plomin hard fork on 29 January 2025 enabled ADA holders to propose and vote on governance actions directly or through delegates. This was a material network-governance change, but it is not evidence that ADA reached $3 in 2025 or that governance changes will produce a specific price outcome.
Can ETFSwap (ETFS) be assessed against a $3 target?
Not reliably from the available information. ETFSwap’s whitepaper and FAQ describe token features, planned listings, staking, and revenue sharing, but these are project-authored statements. - the token’s contract address and blockchain;
- whether an exchange listing is live, rather than merely planned;
