The 2025 Chevrolet Trax starts at $20,500 in the U.S., with five trims priced up to $24,500. Every trim has front-wheel drive, a 137-hp turbocharged three-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic; there is no all-wheel-drive option. The main differences are appearance and equipment, so compare the starting prices with the features you actually want before estimating your out-the-door cost.
2025 Chevrolet Trax prices and trim differences
Chevrolet lists the following U.S. starting prices for the 2025 model. These are advertised starting prices, not dealer quotes or guarantees of a local transaction price; options, destination charges and dealer charges can affect the configured amount.

Prices and trim distinctions are from Chevrolet’s 2025 Trax page. A single LS window sticker lists a $20,500 MSRP and $1,395 original shipping charge; with that vehicle’s listed options, its retail price is $23,635. That is an example of one configured vehicle, not the price of every LS. See the specific 2025 LS window sticker for its itemization.
How to choose among the trims
- Choose LS if keeping the advertised starting price low is the priority and the entry trim’s listed equipment meets your needs.
- Consider 1RS or 2RS if you prefer the RS design details; the 2RS adds the larger listed wheels and heated flat-bottom steering wheel.
- Consider LT if the larger touchscreen, driver information display, remote start and automatic climate controls are the features you value.
- Consider ACTIV if you prefer its distinct grille, black wheels and interior details.
These distinctions describe Chevrolet’s listed equipment; confirm the equipment on the exact vehicle and whether any feature requires an option package.

Engine, transmission, drivetrain and fuel
All 2025 Trax trims use an ECOTEC 1.2-liter turbocharged inline three-cylinder engine rated at 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Chevrolet identifies the drivetrain as front-wheel drive; its FAQ says the 2025 Trax is not available with all-wheel drive and is not rated to tow. Check Chevrolet’s model specifications and FAQ for the vehicle’s published details.
Chevrolet says regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum 87 octane is acceptable and notes E85 compatibility. GM estimates 30 mpg combined for the 2025 Trax, as presented on Chevrolet’s U.S. model page. A particular U.S. LS window sticker lists 28 mpg city and 32 mpg highway for that configuration. Ratings are not a promise of real-world fuel use, which can differ with driving conditions, vehicle configuration and maintenance. Canadian-market estimates are separate: Chevrolet Canada lists 8.5 L/100 km city and 7.6 highway on its 2025 Trax page.

Passenger and cargo space
Chevrolet lists seating for five and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat. With the rear seat folded, maximum cargo volume is 54.1 cubic feet. The 2025 fleet feature sheet gives overall length as 178.6 inches, width without mirrors as 71.8 inches, and height as 61.4 inches for LS and 1RS or 61.7 inches for LT, 2RS and ACTIV.

The 54.1-cubic-foot figure is for the rear seats folded. Chevrolet’s 2025 feature sheet does not state a behind-the-rear-seat cargo figure in the reviewed specifications, so do not treat the folded-seat number as the space available with all five seats in use. The 2025 Trax feature sheet provides the dimensions and maximum cargo figure.

Technology and safety equipment
Chevrolet lists wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and an 11-inch diagonal color touchscreen is available. Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes:

A Rear Vision Camera is standard. Chevrolet lists Rear Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert among the available features; availability depends on configuration. Chevrolet’s official 2025 Trax page includes a photo gallery. Use its model-year and trim captions to identify the vehicle shown; appearance details differ among LS, RS and ACTIV models.
A specific 2025 LS window sticker states a 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, along with roadside assistance and courtesy transportation. Those figures come from that vehicle’s sticker; verify the applicable warranty terms for the vehicle and purchase date with Chevrolet or the dealer.
