What matchday revenue means—and what this ranking measures
Deloitte defines matchday revenue largely as gate receipts, including ticket and corporate hospitality sales, plus membership revenue. The figures below are annual totals for the 2024/25 season, not averages for each match. Dividing by a club’s home fixtures would require consistent match counts and a clear definition of which revenue is included; the sources do not provide that calculation.
Deloitte’s 2026 Football Money League covers club financial years ending in 2025. Its 20 clubs generated €12.4 billion in total revenue, including €2.4 billion in matchday revenue. Deloitte notes that clubs may differ in commercial arrangements, financial reporting perimeters and accounting treatment, and that it makes reclassifications when it considers them useful for comparison. Deloitte’s 2026 Football Money League is the primary source for the aggregate, definition and Real Madrid figure.
Leading matchday revenue figures for 2024/25
The Stadium Business reported the following five clubs in order. Its figures are secondary reporting; Deloitte’s official accessible text separately gives Real Madrid’s figure as €233 million, rounded from the €232.6 million reported below.

All club figures in this table are for 2024/25 and were reported by The Stadium Business. Deloitte says Real Madrid’s €233 million was the second-highest matchday figure ever recorded by a Money League club. The sources available for this comparison do not verify positions 6–15, so no additional clubs are ranked here. The Money League’s total-revenue ranking cannot be used as a substitute: revenue order overall does not establish matchday-revenue order.
Why annual matchday totals vary
Annual totals can reflect more than ticket sales. Hospitality inventory, membership income, stadium capacity and redevelopment, ticket prices, and participation in major competitions can all be relevant, but the sources do not quantify each factor for every club.

Stadium investment and premium seating
Deloitte reported Real Madrid’s matchday revenue at €248 million in 2023/24, a 103% year-on-year increase. It linked the rise in part to Personal Seat Licences (PSLs), new VIP seats and increased capacity. That is a different season from the 2024/25 comparison above, so the €248 million figure should not be read as a current-year ranking value.
Competition and hospitality
Deloitte reported VfB Stuttgart at €70 million in 2024/25, almost 90% above €37 million in 2023/24. It cited Champions League participation and hospitality associated with the renovated MHP Arena. This illustrates how competition and stadium changes can affect a club’s annual total; it does not establish Stuttgart’s position in a top-15 list.

What the trend says about matchday income
Deloitte said matchday revenue across Money League clubs grew 16% in 2024/25, pointing to improved matchday experiences and PSLs as contributors. The growth rate is for the Money League clubs collectively, not an increase shared equally by every club. As Tim Bridge, lead partner in Deloitte’s Sports Business Group, put it: “This year’s Money League showcases the evolving commercial landscape of elite football, with clubs continuing to take greater ownership of their revenue-generating capabilities.”
