The biggest reported sales by Premier League clubs are joint top: Enzo Fernández and Alexander Isak are each listed at £124.7 million. This ranking, current to 2 September 2026, counts eleven players across ten positions because Fernández and Isak tie first, while Elliot Anderson and Philippe Coutinho tie fourth. It includes moves to other Premier League clubs as well as sales abroad.

All fees below are reported figures in pounds from transferwindow.lol’s table, last updated 2 September 2026. The table says fees usually exclude add-ons, so these figures should not be read as audited totals or guaranteed cash received by the selling clubs.

What are the biggest sales in Premier League history?

The table ranks sales by the Premier League club that sold the player, not by the destination league. Its eleven names therefore span domestic transfers and moves overseas.

Rank Player Selling club Buying club Reported fee
Tied 1st Enzo Fernández Chelsea Manchester City £124.7 million
Tied 1st Alexander Isak Newcastle United Liverpool £124.7 million
3rd Morgan Rogers Aston Villa Chelsea £118.7 million
Tied 4th Elliot Anderson Nottingham Forest Manchester City £116.1 million
Tied 4th Philippe Coutinho Liverpool Barcelona £116.1 million
6th Eden Hazard Chelsea Real Madrid £103.9 million
7th Jack Grealish Aston Villa Manchester City £101.1 million
8th Declan Rice West Ham United Arsenal £100.3 million
9th Moisés Caicedo Brighton & Hove Albion Chelsea £99.8 million
10th Sandro Tonali Newcastle United Tottenham Hotspur £92.9 million
11th Gareth Bale Tottenham Hotspur Real Madrid £86.9 million

Why are some reported fees different elsewhere?

Transfer fees can be reported at different levels of precision and on different bases. The Premier League described Isak’s Liverpool move at a rounded £125 million, while its deadline-day coverage also reported Fernández’s move to Manchester City at £125 million and called it a joint-British transfer record. Those rounded reports are close to, but not identical to, the table’s £124.7 million figures; neither presentation establishes an audited guaranteed amount.

Other league coverage also rounds Declan Rice’s Arsenal move to £100 million, compared with £100.3 million in the table. For Caicedo, other reports may round the fee to £100 million or discuss potential add-ons separately. Keep the ranking’s reported-fee basis consistent rather than mixing rounded amounts or add-on totals into the list.

What do the biggest sales say about these transfers?

Two record-level sales to Liverpool and Manchester City

Isak’s sale followed a prolific Newcastle spell: the Premier League says he scored 54 league goals in 86 appearances for the club before joining Liverpool. Its coverage reports the fee as £125 million, rounded. Fernández’s transfer to Manchester City is likewise reported by the league at £125 million and described as a joint-British transfer record.

Transfers within the Premier League count too

Several entries are domestic moves, including Rogers to Chelsea, Anderson to Manchester City, Grealish to Manchester City, Rice to Arsenal, Caicedo to Chelsea and Tonali to Tottenham. The ranking is about sales made by Premier League clubs, not only transfers to clubs outside England.

Not every contextual report confirms the table figure

The Premier League says Newcastle described Tonali’s fee as the second-highest it had received for a player, but that article does not state an amount. Its Anderson coverage traces his rise from a League Two loan at Bristol Rovers to his move from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City, without independently establishing the table’s £116.1 million fee. Those accounts add transfer context; the numerical values in the ranking remain the live table’s reported fees.

How current is this ranking?

The underlying table was last updated on 2 September 2026. Because transfer activity and revised fee reporting can change an all-time ranking, treat this as a dated snapshot rather than a permanent record. The table also says its deal board excludes some transfer activity below its threshold.
