Top 10 NFL teams by reported average get-in price in 2024
The table ranks the ten highest positions in SportsCasting’s 2024 team table. Because Buffalo, Dallas and Pittsburgh tied at $147, showing every team in the top ten rank positions means the table contains 11 teams. SportsCasting says it sourced the prices through SeatGeek, researched them on August 25, 2024, and updated its article on August 28, 2024. International games are excluded from the home-game averages.

What “average get-in price” means—and what it does not
SportsCasting labels its metric an “average get-in price.” It describes prices gathered for games in the upcoming 2024 season and sourced via SeatGeek. The published page does not fully explain how the figures were aggregated, the precise sampling time for each game, whether fees were included, or whether they reflect listings or completed transactions. They should therefore be read as the reported get-in measure, not as face value or a verified average sale price.

SportsCasting also reported a league average get-in price of $131.82, which it said was 9% higher year over year. Those figures belong to its SeatGeek-sourced analysis, not to an official NFL ticket-price series. It reported New Orleans as the least expensive team at $43, while Detroit led at $254.
Why other 2024 NFL ticket-price rankings differ
A separate KSAT report published September 5, 2024, described a GamingToday study using SeatGeek data. It gave the Dallas Cowboys an average ticket price of $399.50 and the NFL average as $253.47—far above SportsCasting’s Dallas get-in figure of $147 and its league get-in average of $131.82. These reports describe different measures; the available descriptions do not establish a shared definition that would make the numbers directly comparable. KSAT’s report on the GamingToday study should not be combined with SportsCasting’s table or averaged with it.

Before comparing ticket-price figures from different reports, check whether they use the same:
- Metric: a get-in listing price or a stated average ticket price.
- Collection date: prices can change as games approach and listings change.
- Game coverage: home games only or both home and away games.
- Fee treatment: whether fees are included in the quoted amount.
- Price basis: listed prices or completed-sale prices.
The cited reports do not resolve every one of these points for both datasets, so the difference should be treated as a methodological distinction rather than a contradiction that can be reconciled from the published figures alone.

Other useful context from the 2024 analysis
SportsCasting reported that the NFC North had the highest divisional average get-in price, at $171.25, while the NFC South had the lowest, at $65. It also identified Steelers at Raiders as the highest single-game get-in listing in its analysis, at $414. That is one game’s listing, not either team’s average.
A separate Vivid Seats report dated August 21, 2024, said the Houston Texans’ average sold price for regular-season home and away games had risen 132% year over year, comparing 2023 with 2024 data available as of August 2024. Because that figure covers sold prices and both home and away games, it is not a substitute for SportsCasting’s home-game get-in measure. Vivid Seats’ 2024 report provides that separate comparison.
