10 lowest-priced EVs listed above 300 miles of range

It identifies individual trims and uses EPA miles for range. Prices and ranges are reproduced from that secondary compilation; confirm current trim, price, destination-charge treatment, and EPA rating before buying.

What these prices do—and do not—tell you
Starting MSRP is a comparison point, not the amount you will necessarily pay. Destination charges, selected options, dealer pricing, incentives, and local availability can change the final cost. The comparison notes incentives may affect price, but its displayed figures should not be treated as an out-the-door quote.

Use the trim, not just the model name, when checking range. A vehicle family can have multiple battery, wheel, and drivetrain configurations; the table’s range applies to the specific configuration shown in the comparison. Confirm the exact model year and trim in the official vehicle record and on the manufacturer’s current pricing page. The ENERGY STAR vehicle finder says its data comes from fueleconomy.gov, the joint EPA/DOE site, and includes a 300+ mile electric-range filter.
How to compare the shortlist for your budget
Start with the whole purchase cost
- Ask for the vehicle’s price with destination charge, options, and dealer fees itemized.
- Check which incentives you qualify for and whether they reduce the price at purchase or are claimed separately. Do not assume an incentive is reflected in the listed MSRP.
- Compare written quotes for the same trim and equipment; a lower starting figure can be offset by options or local pricing.
Match the vehicle to your everyday use
A sedan and an SUV do not serve the same passenger or cargo needs. Compare the exact body style, seating, cargo space, and drivetrain alongside price and range. The listed range is a standardized EPA figure, not a promise of how far you will travel on every charge in your own conditions.

Check charging access before choosing on range alone
Home charging access, charging speed, and public charging availability affect convenience and ownership costs. The DOE Alternative Fuels Data Center’s Model Year 2025 vehicle table includes charging specifications for those older configurations, but it does not establish charging performance for all the 2026 trims listed above. Check the current vehicle’s specifications and whether your home electrical setup can support the charger you intend to use.
How to interpret the 300-mile cutoff
More than 300 miles is a useful filter, not a universal requirement. In its February 2026 Automotive Trends Report, the EPA reported that the average new battery-electric vehicle in model year 2024 had a range of 292 miles—nearly four times the average BEV range in 2011. That fleet average puts a 300-mile threshold near the contemporary benchmark in the report, but your commute, charging access, and longer trips determine whether it is enough. See the EPA report.

Verify ratings and current prices before you commit
Government data can help validate older model-year configurations, but it should not be mixed with current prices or assumed to certify a newer trim. For instance, the DOE’s model-year 2025 table lists the Chevrolet Equinox EV FWD at 319 miles and a $33,600 base MSRP, while the 2026 comparison lists an Equinox EV LT1 FWD at $34,995. These are different model-year references and should not be treated as a like-for-like current quote.
For current EPA fuel-economy and range records, begin at EPA Fuel Economy, which directs shoppers to fueleconomy.gov for comparing cars. Then verify the manufacturer’s live price and the exact trim’s availability with a dealer. The 2026 list is a useful shortlist, but its secondary-source figures are not substitutes for those checks.
