Choose Stuvia if you want a sale-based marketplace

Check ownership, school rules, and academic integrity before listing notes
A platform’s willingness to accept an upload does not prove that you own everything in it. Your own explanations and summaries may be yours, while slides, textbook extracts, protected question banks, and another student’s work may belong to someone else. Remove material you do not have rights to use; get permission or establish a valid legal basis before including protected content, and attribute borrowed material where required. Do not post assessment answers or restricted materials in a way that enables cheating.
School rules are separate from marketplace rules. Ball State University, for example, says giving, buying, or selling class notes, exams, or study guides without written instructor permission can violate its student academic ethics policy. That is a Ball State-specific example, not a universal rule. Read your syllabus and your institution’s conduct policy, and follow instructor directions before distributing course materials. Keep records and account for taxes
For U.S. readers, the Internal Revenue Service says gig income must be reported even if the work is temporary or part-time and even if no information return arrives. The IRS states that people with net self-employment earnings of $400 or more must file a federal return and notes that independent contractors may need to make quarterly estimated payments.
