Spain’s securities regulator, the CNMV, warned in 2019 that Emporio Trading Ltd was not authorized to provide investment services in Spain. The company also appears in older Vanuatu licensing records but not on the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission’s current financial-dealers list.
Its legal-entity identifier is marked “LAPSED,” its current website and withdrawal process could not be independently reviewed, and historical customer reports include allegations of withdrawal problems and account losses. That combination makes Emporio Trading a high-risk platform to avoid—not a broker where new funds should be deposited.
Emporio Trading verdict
| Question | Finding |
|---|---|
| Is Emporio Trading currently verifiably authorized? | No. It does not appear on the current VFSC financial-dealers list, and Spain’s CNMV previously identified it as unauthorized in Spain. |
| Was it listed or licensed historically? | Yes. Emporio Trading Ltd appeared on older Vanuatu records, including a 2018 list showing a license dated November 20, 2018. |
| Is the company’s LEI current? | No. The LEI record is marked “Lapsed,” although the entity itself is shown as active. |
| Can the current website and withdrawal terms be verified? | No. Direct access was blocked during verification, so the current account, legal, funding, and withdrawal pages could not be checked. |
| Should you deposit money? | No. The available evidence supports an avoid conclusion. |
This conclusion does not establish that every historical customer was defrauded. It does establish that the broker cannot currently be verified to the standard a consumer should expect before sending money to an online investment firm.
What regulators say about Emporio Trading
Spain’s CNMV issued an unauthorized-firm warning
On April 8, 2019, Spain’s Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) named EMPORIO TRADING LTD and the domain emporiotrading.com in a warning. The regulator said the firm was not authorized to provide investment services covered by Spanish securities law, including investment advice and foreign-exchange transactions.
#1 Best Overall
You can review the CNMV warning and search the regulator’s warned-entities database.
A warning from one regulator does not by itself prove that every transaction was fraudulent. It does mean that Emporio Trading lacked authorization to offer the named services in Spain at the time of the warning. That is a serious issue for anyone considering the firm today.
The historical Vanuatu listing is not current proof
Emporio Trading Ltd appeared on older Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC) lists. A December 2018 list recorded the company as active, with a license date of November 20, 2018. An earlier record listed an August 9, 2017 license date.
However, a search of the current VFSC Financial Dealers Licensee List returns no matching “Emporio” or “EMPORIO” entry. The older documents prove only that the company appeared in historical records. They do not prove that its authorization remains active in 2026.

This distinction matters. Broker websites and review pages may continue displaying an old license number or historical registration even after a firm is no longer listed. The regulator’s current register is the relevant place to check present authorization.
Company and identity checks
The available LEI record identifies EMPORIO TRADING LTD as a Vanuatu entity with this legal address:
Rank #2
C/O Moores Rowland Vanuatu, 2nd Floor, Transpacific Haus, Lini Highway, Port Vila, Vanuatu
The record shows the entity status as active, but the LEI registration status is “Lapsed.” It lists an initial registration date of September 10, 2018, a last update of October 29, 2021, and a next renewal date of October 28, 2021. The record is available through Bloomberg’s LEI database.
A lapsed LEI is not conclusive proof of fraud. A legal entity can remain registered while its LEI record is not renewed. It is nevertheless a negative verification signal: the company’s corporate identity data is not fully current in that database.
Search results can also produce a false match with a separate UK business called EMPORIO TRADING LTD, company number 15717150. That company was incorporated in May 2024, is based in Manchester, and has a wholesale-trade classification. Its Companies House record does not identify it as a regulated investment firm and should not automatically be treated as the historical Vanuatu forex broker.
What the website evidence shows
A recent technical scan reported that emporiotrading.com returned HTTP 200 and had a Let’s Encrypt domain-validated SSL certificate. The scan also reported a June 8, 2022 WHOIS registration date, privacy-redacted ownership details, and server IP address 139.162.181.76.
Those technical details do not establish that Emporio Trading is operating as a legitimate broker. HTTPS encrypts the connection between a browser and a website; it does not verify the company, its regulator, its solvency, or its withdrawal practices.

During direct verification, access to the site was blocked by robots.txt. As a result, the following could not be independently confirmed:
- the current account-opening process;
- the legal entity named in the customer agreement;
- current spreads, leverage, and trading instruments;
- deposit and payment methods;
- withdrawal rules, fees, and processing times;
- client-money segregation arrangements;
- complaints procedures or compensation-scheme membership.
A domain that responds to a scanner is not necessarily a functioning, accessible brokerage. It may show a placeholder, login page, or technical response without providing usable services.
Historical products and trading conditions
Older broker reviews described Emporio Trading as an offshore forex and CFD broker using the Emporio Trading Ltd name in Vanuatu. They reported account types called Standard, ECN, and ECN-Gold. These details are historical and should not be mistaken for current offers.
| Historical claim | Reported detail | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Standard minimum deposit | $1,000 | Historical only |
| ECN minimum deposit | $10,000 | Historical only |
| ECN-Gold minimum deposit | $25,000 | Historical only |
| Maximum leverage | Up to 1:1,000 | Historical only and extremely high risk |
| Reported spread | Approximately 1.2 pips in one test | Historical test, not a current quote |
| Products | Forex, CFDs, equities, indices, metals, bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies | Historical claims, not independently current |
The historical reviews conflict over whether the broker offered MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5. That disagreement is another reason not to state either platform as a confirmed current offering. Older reports also mentioned bank transfers, cards, Qiwi, Yandex.Money, Neteller, Skrill, and Perfect Money, but there is no current evidence that these payment methods remain available.

Forex Peace Army’s broker profile labeled EmporioTrading “Out of business” in an update dated April 13, 2022, and said the website was down at that time. One user alleged that, after requesting a withdrawal, the account was rapidly lost and the deposited and purportedly earned funds were taken.
Other review websites repeat allegations involving difficult withdrawals, requests for additional deposits, and account losses. These are user-generated or third-party claims—not court findings or regulator determinations—and should be treated as unverified allegations.
Rank #4
The available evidence therefore supports a cautious formulation:
- There are documented reports of withdrawal and account-loss complaints.
- There is no independently verified current withdrawal policy.
- A later technical scan showing an HTTP 200 response does not prove that the brokerage is operating.
- There is no verified evidence in the reviewed sources of current client-money protection, audited finances, or compensation-scheme membership.
Common claims about Emporio Trading that do not hold up
“Emporio Trading is currently licensed by the VFSC.”
That claim is outdated based on the available records. The firm appeared on historical VFSC lists, but no matching entry appears on the current financial-dealers list.

“A Vanuatu license means my money is protected like it is at a major regulated broker.”
That conclusion is unsupported. A historical offshore listing is not equivalent to current authorization by a major retail-investor regulator. The reviewed evidence does not establish segregated client accounts, compensation coverage, or current regulatory supervision.
“The broker is definitely out of business.”
That has not been conclusively established. Forex Peace Army reported the broker as out of business in 2022, while a later scan found a technical response from the domain. Neither fact proves that the firm is currently accepting or servicing customers.
“The website has SSL, so it is safe.”
SSL protects data in transit. It does not confirm licensing, ownership, financial strength, honest pricing, or successful withdrawals.
“Positive reviews prove the broker is legitimate.”
Online reviews are not a substitute for a current regulator register, matching legal-entity information, audited financial statements, or independently verified withdrawals. Reviews about Emporio Trading include both positive and negative user-generated material.

What to do if you already deposited money
- Do not send more money. Do not pay a claimed tax, release fee, verification charge, insurance payment, or “account recovery” deposit to unlock a withdrawal.
- Save evidence. Keep account statements, transaction IDs, emails, chat logs, phone numbers, wallet addresses, screenshots, and copies of the terms shown when you deposited.
- Contact the payment provider quickly. Ask your card issuer about a chargeback. For a bank transfer, contact the bank’s fraud department and request a recall or fraud investigation. Cryptocurrency transfers are usually difficult to reverse, but the exchange used to send the funds may still be able to flag the destination.
- Secure your accounts. Change reused passwords, enable two-factor authentication, and revoke remote-access software or API permissions if anyone claiming to represent the broker had access to your device.
- Report the matter. Contact your national financial regulator and local law-enforcement or cybercrime reporting service. Include the exact legal entity name and domain rather than relying only on the brand name.
- Watch for recovery scams. People who lost money to a broker are often targeted by fake lawyers, investigators, regulators, or blockchain “recovery” specialists who demand upfront fees.
How to check a forex broker before depositing
- Find the exact legal entity in the broker’s terms, not just the trading brand.
- Search that entity directly in the regulator’s current register.
- Check that the register lists permission for the specific services offered: forex, CFDs, derivatives, or investment advice.
- Match the regulator’s address, website, phone number, and domain with the broker’s own details.
- Read the withdrawal section before depositing. Look for processing times, fees, minimum withdrawals, and conditions that could block access to funds.
- Confirm where client money is held and whether any compensation scheme applies to your country.
- Be especially cautious with extreme leverage, pressure to deposit more, guaranteed returns, and requests to pay extra money before a withdrawal.
For Emporio Trading, these checks produce too many unresolved problems: the current VFSC listing cannot be found, the CNMV issued an unauthorized-firm warning, the LEI is lapsed, and the current website documentation could not be verified.
FAQ
Is Emporio Trading a scam?
The available evidence does not justify declaring that every historical customer interaction was fraudulent. It does justify treating Emporio Trading as high risk and avoiding it: Spain’s CNMV warned that it was unauthorized, it is absent from the current VFSC licensee list, and its current operations and withdrawal process cannot be independently verified.
Is Emporio Trading regulated by the VFSC?
Emporio Trading Ltd appeared on historical Vanuatu Financial Services Commission lists, but it does not appear on the current VFSC Financial Dealers Licensee List reviewed for this article. Historical listing is not proof of current authorization.
Can I withdraw money from Emporio Trading?
There is no independently verified current withdrawal process in the available evidence. Historical user reports include withdrawal complaints. Do not pay additional money to anyone claiming that a tax, fee, deposit, or recovery payment is required to release funds.
What was the minimum deposit at Emporio Trading?
Older reviews reported minimum deposits of $1,000 for a Standard account, $10,000 for ECN, and $25,000 for ECN-Gold. These are historical claims and should not be treated as current account terms.
Does Emporio Trading use MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5?
Historical reviews conflict: one mentioned MetaTrader 5 and another mentioned MetaTrader 4. Neither platform can be confirmed as a current Emporio Trading offering.
What should I do if I already sent money to Emporio Trading?
Stop sending funds, preserve all records, contact your card issuer or bank’s fraud department immediately, report the matter to your financial regulator and law enforcement, and be wary of recovery scams requesting upfront fees.
The Bottom Line
Emporio Trading is not verifiably a currently authorized broker and should be considered high risk. The historical Vanuatu listing is outdated evidence, the LEI record is lapsed, Spain’s CNMV warned that the firm was unauthorized in 2019, and the current website and withdrawal procedures could not be independently checked.
Do not deposit money with Emporio Trading. If someone claims they can unlock, recover, tax-clear, or release existing funds, do not send an additional payment without independently verifying that party through an official regulator or institution.
