Google says advertisers can use Asset Studio to transform up to 100 photos at once, including by placing a product into a new scene. Asset Studio also supports single-image lifestyle generation, brand style references, video creation, and shareable previews. The 100-photo capability is an announced feature; whether it is available in a particular account depends on Google’s rollout.
What Google Ads Asset Studio does
Google describes Asset Studio as a creative workspace inside Google Ads for generating and refining campaign assets. In its September 10, 2025 announcement, Google said advertisers could use generative AI tools for active accounts, preview creative, and share assets before campaigns go live. The announcement was written by Mindy Lin, Product Manager, Google Ads, who called it “your one-stop-shop for bringing your creative vision to life.”
The tools address several different jobs: creating a new lifestyle image from a product shot, adapting many product photos, keeping generated visuals aligned with a brand, and producing or reviewing video and other ad assets. These are creative capabilities; Google’s announcements do not establish that using them improves campaign performance.
How the 100-photo transformation works
Google’s example is a batch transformation: the Woobles’ Pierre the Penguin is placed in a winter wonderland with a sled, and the company says the workflow can handle up to 100 photos at once. In practice, that means applying a described scene or treatment across a set of product images rather than manually prompting each image individually.

“Up to 100” is Google’s stated maximum for this example, not a guarantee that every account, image set, or prompt will produce 100 usable outputs. Google has not published an independent performance statistic for this capability, such as a measured time saving or conversion lift.
Single-image generation versus batch transformation

Use the single-image approach when the goal is to explore a particular scene for one product shot. Batch transformation is the more relevant option when a catalog or campaign needs a consistent treatment across many images. Google has not specified in these announcements which image formats, product categories, or prompt constraints apply to every account.

Brand consistency and review tools
Style references
Advertisers can provide on-brand images as style references so generated visuals follow the brand’s look and feel. A reference can guide the visual direction, but it should not be treated as a substitute for checking each output for accurate product appearance and brand compliance.
Shareable previews
Google says Asset Studio can create shareable links for image, video, or text assets and provide expanded ad previews across Search, YouTube, Discover, Gmail, and the Display Network. This supports review before launch; it does not mean an asset is approved automatically or that it will appear in every listed placement.

Can Asset Studio make videos?
Google says the studio can turn images, logos, and text descriptions into video assets. That is a separate workflow from generating or transforming product images. In a May 21, 2025 overview of AI ad tools, Google also described image-to-video transformation powered by its latest Veo model in Merchant Center and said it was coming to Google Ads. The overview mentioned other tools, including AI outpainting in App campaigns and Product Studio background removal, upscaling, and video features; those related capabilities do not establish availability in every Ads account.

In a May 20, 2026 update, Google said Asset Studio can understand a marketing brief, brand guidelines, a website, and campaign goals, then generate and refine multiple creative themes and asset types using natural language. The post described video creation with Gemini Omni and 1-Click A/B Testing as coming capabilities, and said the features were rolling out globally in English in summer 2026.

That timing is a rollout statement, not confirmation that a feature is enabled in every account today. Availability can depend on the account and rollout status; the announcements do not provide a universal account-by-account eligibility list. Check the current Google Ads interface and product documentation for what is enabled in your account.

What to check before using generated ad assets
- Confirm that Asset Studio and the relevant workflow appear in your Google Ads account.
- Review generated images for product fidelity, including shape, color, packaging, and any details that matter to a buyer.
- Check the output against brand guidelines and the intended campaign placement before sharing or launching it.
- Treat previews as a review aid, not proof of approval, placement, or campaign results.
- Do not assume that announced video or testing features are available just because image tools are accessible.
