The event has ended, so any prices from that day are historical; current prices and availability may differ. Amazon’s official name for the U.S. event was Prime Big Deal Days, not October Prime Day. Amazon announced the October 7–8 dates, but its event pages do not establish a complete, verifiable list of final-day products and prices.
What was available on Day 2?
Amazon described Prime Big Deal Days as a two-day U.S. promotion and an early start to holiday shopping. The sale ran October 7–8, 2025, making October 8 the final day. Amazon promoted deals across electronics, home and kitchen, toys, apparel, beauty, and household essentials. Amazon’s FAQ and event overview describe the timing and broad event details.

Amazon also highlighted brands including KitchenAid, Shark, medicube, tarte, Melissa & Doug, and LEGO in its event promotion. That promotion does not prove that each brand had a worthwhile offer on Day 2: the announcement supplies no complete product-level price record. Amazon’s category and brand announcement is useful for understanding what it promoted, not for validating a specific deal.
Why there is no defensible “best deal” list
A product earns a place on a best-deals list only when its exact model, October 8 price, seller, terms, and price-history context can be checked. The available official event information confirms the sale dates and categories, but not a complete Day 2 product ledger. Without contemporaneous product pages, archived offers, or reliable price-history records, naming a product as the day’s best value—or assigning it a price, discount, seller, or historical low—would be guesswork.
#1 Best Overall
- Amazon.com Gift Cards never expire and carry no fees.
- Multiple gift card designs and denominations to choose from.
- Redeemable towards millions of items store-wide at Amazon.com or certain affiliated websites.
- Available for immediate delivery. Gift cards sent by email can be scheduled up to a year in advance.
- No returns and no refunds on Gift Cards.
That also prevents a sound Day 1-versus-Day 2 comparison. Some promotions may have appeared or changed on October 8, while others may have ended or sold out. Amazon did not promise that final-day prices would beat the first day’s. A valid comparison requires verified prices for the same exact model and variant on both dates.
How to judge a deal without being misled by the discount
A displayed percentage off is not, by itself, evidence that a product was unusually cheap. Treat Amazon’s “List Price,” “Was Price,” or percentage-off figure as an Amazon-displayed reference price—not proof of the ordinary market price. A verified recent price or documented historical low requires an independent price record for the same model and configuration.

- Compare like with like: Match the model number, generation, capacity, size, color, pack quantity, and bundle. A discount on one variant does not establish the price of another.
- Check the final checkout amount: Note whether the advertised price required clipping a coupon, entering a code, buying multiple units, subscribing, or using a particular payment method. Coupons can disappear independently of a sale price.
- Identify the seller and condition: Confirm whether the item was sold by Amazon or a marketplace seller, how it was fulfilled, and whether it was new, used, refurbished, or renewed. Seller, condition, warranty, shipping, and return terms can differ even when a product page looks unchanged.
- Assess the item, not just the offer: Read recent reviews and check compatibility, included accessories, software support, warranty, and any safety notices or recalls relevant to the product.
- Check timing and stock language: October 8 was the event’s final date, not a guarantee that every promotion lasted through the day. Lightning Deals and limited-quantity offers could end earlier; a low-stock message or countdown applies to that specific offer.
Which offers were most time-sensitive?
For a shopper following the event live, Lightning Deals and limited-quantity offers were the clearest candidates to change or disappear quickly. Popular electronics, device bundles, seasonal toys, and beauty products with clipped coupons could also become unavailable or lose their promotional terms. These are general risk patterns, not evidence that any particular product sold out during the 2025 event.
Distinguish an event-end offer from a shorter promotion. An event-end deal was associated with the October 7–8 sale, subject to its terms and stock; a Lightning Deal could have a shorter timer or allocated inventory; a coupon could be removed separately. A payment or subscription promotion might have its own eligibility rules and end date.

Did shoppers need Prime?
Prime membership was central to access: Amazon presented Prime Big Deal Days as an event for Prime members. Eligibility could still vary by promotion, so an individual offer’s terms mattered. Amazon’s event FAQ is the relevant source for event-specific membership details.
If joining solely for a purchase, compare the product savings and benefits you would actually use against the membership cost. A simple calculation is: net benefit = product savings + usable Prime benefits − membership cost. Do not assume a trial or discounted membership is available to you; eligibility and billing terms must be checked, and a trial can convert to paid membership under its terms. Amazon’s Prime page provides current membership information, which should not be confused with terms that applied in October 2025.

Should shoppers have bought in October or waited for Black Friday?
There was no reliable one-size-fits-all answer. Amazon positioned the October event as an early holiday-shopping kickoff, but that did not guarantee its prices would be better than November’s. The right choice depended on a product’s verified price history, urgency, stock, and whether the shopper needed a particular model or configuration.
- Buy on the event day when a verified price was unusually low, the item was genuinely needed, and the risk of losing the desired model or configuration mattered more than a possible later discount.
- Wait for November when the discount was modest or unverified, the product was recently released, or there was no urgency and the shopper was willing to risk a different price or reduced selection.
- Skip the offer when reviews or seller details raised concerns, the model was outdated for the intended use, or the apparent savings depended on an unattractive subscription, financing offer, or other friction.
These are decision rules, not predictions that a specific item would become cheaper. Without product-level historical records, claims that an October price was lower than Black Friday—or that waiting would pay off—cannot be established.

How to read Amazon’s advertised savings
Keep three price concepts separate: the reference price Amazon displayed, a recent price supported by a price-history record, and a documented historical low. The first is an advertised comparison; the latter two require evidence for the specific product and variant. A large advertised percentage can be less meaningful than a smaller reduction from a product’s usual selling price. No “lowest ever” claim is warranted without broad, reliable records covering the relevant listing and sellers.
Other Prime promotions were separate offers
Amazon’s event announcements also described ancillary promotions, including Grubhub+ and a dining offer. These were not equivalent to product discounts and had their own dates, locations, eligibility requirements, and redemption terms. The announcement does not establish that every Prime member qualified. Check the applicable terms rather than treating food delivery, grocery, card rewards, student membership, or business benefits as universal event savings. Amazon’s event announcement describes the promotions it publicized.
What this means for the 2025 Day 2 roundup
Amazon confirmed a two-day event on October 7–8, 2025, with Day 2 on October 8 and offers across several major categories. The official pages do not substantiate exact final-day prices or a ranked list of the best individual bargains. Any surviving product listing should therefore be treated as a current offer unless its October 8 price and terms are independently documented; clicking through today does not preserve a historical price.
