There are no Black Friday or Cyber Monday monitor deals verified as live here. The matching deal roundup covered the 2025 sales and was last updated December 2, 2025. Its prices are historical, not offers to buy today. Because no current October 2026 checkout prices or stock status are established, this guide uses those past prices as comparison points and explains how to assess a monitor deal when this year’s sales arrive.

Prices and availability can change quickly. Before ordering, confirm the exact model, seller, stock, shipping, and return terms on the retailer’s listing.

What the 2025 sale prices can—and cannot—tell you

The prices below appeared in Tom’s Hardware’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025 live coverage, last updated December 2, 2025. They show what some monitors cost during that event; they do not establish a current price, an all-time low, or a guaranteed target for 2026. Retailer listings, coupons, and stock may have changed since then.

Monitor Price recorded during 2025 coverage Retailer Useful comparison
Gigabyte GS27QA $145.99 Newegg Historical reference for a 1440p, 180Hz value display.
Alienware AW2725DM $179.99 Dell Historical reference for a 1440p, 180Hz gaming monitor.
ASUS VG27AQ $179 Amazon Past event price; check the exact model and configuration before comparing listings.
MSI MAG 275UPD $199.99 with a listed coupon Newegg Coupon-dependent historical price for a 4K, 144Hz model; the old coupon should not be assumed to work now.
Samsung 34-inch ViewFinity S50GC $209.99 Amazon Historical ultrawide price; ViewFinity is a productivity-oriented line, not automatically the right choice for gaming.
HP Omen 23.6-inch 165Hz monitor $149.99 Amazon Past price reference for a smaller, high-refresh display.
Acer Predator X27U OLED $399.99 Best Buy Historical OLED price; it is not a current offer.
MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED $409.99 Newegg Historical reference for a 1440p, 240Hz QD-OLED display.
Samsung Odyssey Neo G7, 43-inch $499.99 Best Buy Historical large-format price; confirm desk fit and the precise model variant in any future listing.
Samsung Odyssey G9, 49-inch $699.99 Amazon Past ultrawide benchmark, not a current price target or availability claim.
ASUS PG32UCDM $899 Amazon Historical price for a premium 4K, 240Hz OLED model.

All figures in the table are historical prices recorded in the 2025 live roundup. Use them as context, not as proof that a present listing is discounted or fairly priced.

Choose the monitor for your games and hardware

For a budget PC or high frame rates at 1080p

A 24- to 25-inch 1080p monitor with a 144Hz or 165Hz refresh rate is a sensible starting point for a budget gaming system. IPS is often a good all-purpose panel choice; adaptive sync can help reduce tearing when frame rates fluctuate. Compare the stand and VESA mounting support as well as the panel: a low price may mean limited adjustment or a weaker feature set.

For a balanced 1440p setup

A 27-inch 1440p monitor around 165Hz to 180Hz is a strong general-purpose target for many PC gamers. It offers more detail than 1080p without imposing the same rendering load as 4K. Check that the monitor’s DisplayPort connection supports the advertised resolution and refresh rate, and confirm the exact input requirements in the manufacturer’s specifications.

Samsung 27" Odyssey G5 (G51F) Series QHD (1440P) Gaming Monitor
  • QHD Resolution (2560 x 1440) has 1.7 times the pixel density of Full HD for incredibly detailed pinsharp images
  • HDR10 provides brighter highlights and nuanced shadow for added depth - making every scene feel more vivid and realistic
  • The 180Hz refresh rate minimizes lag for gameplay with ultra-smooth action. Plus, the 1ms response time helps capture your moves in real-time, allowing you to react fast for gaming precision
  • AMD FreeSync reduces choppiness, screen lag and image tearing, ensuring that your fast-paced, complex in-game action is stable with minimal stutter
  • Ergonomic stand allows for tilt, pivot and height adjustments to maximize gaming comfort

For competitive play

Refresh rates of 240Hz or higher can benefit players who prioritize motion and can sustain high frame rates. They are not an automatic upgrade: a 240Hz panel may be less useful than a sharper, less expensive 1440p display if the PC cannot drive the games at suitably high frame rates. Motion performance and input latency matter too; a manufacturer’s response-time figure is not necessarily an independently measured result.

For 4K gaming and consoles

A 27- to 32-inch 4K monitor can provide a sharper image, but 4K gaming is demanding. Match it to the PC’s GPU and the frame rate you actually want; upscaling options such as DLSS, FSR, or XeSS may help on supported PC games. For a console or high-refresh 4K setup, verify the monitor’s HDMI version, supported resolution and refresh rate, and variable-refresh-rate support for the input you plan to use. A headline refresh-rate number alone does not guarantee a console can use it.

Dell 27 240Hz Gaming Monitor - SE2726HG - 27-inch FHD (1920x1080) Display, in-Plane Switching (IPS) Technology, AMD FreeSync Premium, TÜV 3-Star, 2X HDMI, DisplayPort 1.4, Tilt
  • Smooth motion: 240Hz refresh rate and fast 0.5ms response time provide crisp visuals and fluid movement with less input lag.
  • Seamless gaming: FreeSync Premium and HDMI VRR eliminate tearing for smooth, responsive PC and console gameplay.
  • Fast IPS: Faster 0.5ms response with excellent color accuracy across wide IPS viewing angles.
  • Rich color: 99% sRGB color coverage delivers vivid, detailed imagery with strong accuracy.
  • Eye comfort: TÜV Rheinland 3‑star certified display lowers blue light while preserving color quality.

For OLED, ultrawide, and large-format screens

OLED’s deep blacks and fast pixel response can make games look excellent, but buyers should weigh price, text rendering, brightness in large bright scenes, and burn-in risk. If the monitor will show static desktop interfaces for long periods, check the maker’s panel-care features and current warranty terms rather than assuming burn-in is covered. Mini-LED can offer high brightness, though local dimming may produce halos around bright objects.

A 34-inch 3440×1440 ultrawide or 49-inch 5120×1440 display needs enough desk width and depth, and it asks more of the GPU than a standard 1440p monitor. Large 42- to 45-inch screens also need suitable viewing distance and desk space; consider text clarity and stand or arm support before buying. Some games may not support ultrawide aspect ratios cleanly.

Check the deal before you place an order

  1. Match the exact model and regional variant. Similar names can conceal different panel sizes, ports, stands, or specifications. Compare the full model number and the manufacturer’s specification page.
  2. Look beyond the discount badge. Establish whether the price is compared with MSRP, a retailer’s reference price, or a recent street price. A percentage-off claim alone does not prove good value.
  3. Read how the offer works. Check whether the price requires a coupon, membership, rebate, or checkout code, and whether it applies to the exact seller and model in your cart.
  4. Identify the seller and condition. Marketplace, open-box, and refurbished listings can have different warranties, return terms, and included accessories than a new item sold directly by the retailer.
  5. Confirm stock, delivery, and returns. Check the delivery estimate, shipping cost, return window, and any restocking restrictions. Best Buy notes that sale prices, dates, quantities, and exclusions can change, and limited quantities may not be eligible for rain checks.
  6. Verify the connections you need. Check HDMI and DisplayPort capabilities, USB-C video and charging wattage if using a laptop, and whether a high-resolution/high-refresh mode depends on DSC or a particular input. Do not assume every advertised mode works over every port.
  7. Make sure the extras solve a real need. USB hubs, KVM switching, speakers, and height adjustment are valuable only if they fit your setup. A USB-C port does not necessarily provide enough laptop charging power.

Best Buy’s monitor sale page describes sale limitations and categories, but a category page is not confirmation that a particular product is in stock at a particular price. Check the product listing and final checkout total.

Why old “still live” pages need a date check

Search results can keep surfacing event coverage after the event ends, and retailer snippets can lag behind checkout. The relevant Tom’s Hardware page was last updated December 2, 2025; its “still live” framing referred to that sale period, not October 2026. Its Black Friday and Cyber Monday archives provide event context, but do not verify current inventory.

Current promotions require a fresh check of the exact retailer product page. Best Buy’s monitor listings and Dell’s monitor deals page are starting points, not price guarantees; both can change as stock and promotions change. Do not treat older surfaced prices as live: for example, a Best Buy search result or Dell deal snapshot seen in August 2026 does not establish that price on October 7, 2026.

When shopping this year, compare the final checkout price and seller across retailers, then judge the monitor against your resolution, frame-rate target, ports, desk, and return needs. If a deal page has no verifiable current price or stock, it is a lead to investigate—not a confirmed deal.
