The ten systems in this list were reported in 2024 coverage at prices ranging from $6,199 to $43,000. They are not a verified ranking of the world’s most expensive gaming PCs: the list mixes gaming desktops, workstations and custom systems, and its prices do not share a confirmed basis. Some specifications are dated or questionable. The useful takeaway is that a high price can buy professional computing capacity, elaborate construction or very large storage—not necessarily a proportional increase in gaming performance.
How to read these prices and rankings
The figures and configurations below were reported by The CPU Guide’s list, published in 2023 and updated February 1, 2024. They are historical reported prices, not current quotes. The source does not establish a common date or method for all prices, nor whether tax, shipping, warranty, or the same configuration assumptions apply. Some figures are described as fully configured or maximum configurations; others appear as listed system prices. Treat them as indicative claims, not directly comparable offers available to order in the United States on a single date.
The table reorders the entries by their reported prices, correcting one reversal in the source list: the $7,648 Gladio is more expensive than the $7,089 MSI. “Gaming-capable workstation” means the machine can play games but is designed primarily for professional workloads. Specifications not independently confirmed by a manufacturer are attributed to the original list.

What stands out about the highest-priced entries
8Pack OrionX: a luxury dual-PC showcase
The reported $43,000 OrionX combines two computers in one system. Its primary machine’s three RTX 3090s and Core i9-10980XE make it an extreme build, but those components do not make it a 2024 gaming-performance leader. The list describes an older hardware configuration, and three GPUs do not mean three times the frame rate: most modern games do not scale that way. Its appeal is the custom, dual-system design and its potential for selected rendering or compute tasks, not a demonstrated gaming advantage over a single modern flagship GPU.

NextComputing Edge XTA: workstation compute, not gaming value
The reported Edge XTA pairs a 64-core EPYC 7702P with 256GB RAM and two Quadro RTX 8000 GPUs. That combination points toward workloads such as rendering, scientific computing, visualization or large multitasking environments. Professional GPUs can offer application support and large memory capacities suited to those jobs, but their professional positioning does not guarantee faster gaming than a GeForce card. A $39,950 workstation should be judged by the work it can complete, not by its price alone.
Digital Storm Aventum X: substantial construction, variable configuration
The source’s roughly $23,000 figure refers to a heavily configured Aventum X, not the ordinary price of every model. Digital Storm’s official Aventum X page describes a custom liquid-cooling system with 560mm, 420mm and 280mm radiators, eight hot-swap storage bays, and maximum options including 64-core processors, 256GB memory and 64TB storage. These are configuration ceilings, not a guarantee that every system includes those parts. The product page showed configured prices around $5,837–$5,855 when observed on August 18, 2026; options change the total, so that dated observation is not a current quote or a comparison with the historical $23,000 claim.

Lenovo ThinkStation P620: expandability for professional work
The reported $18,000 configuration uses a Threadripper PRO 5995WX and RTX A6000. Lenovo’s P620 datasheet describes a workstation platform with Threadripper PRO options, support for professional GPUs, up to 512GB memory and up to 20TB storage. Those platform capabilities serve demanding production and engineering work; they do not make the P620 a gaming-first purchase. The $18,000 figure belongs to the source’s reported configuration, not the whole product family.
Empowered PC Sentinel: a workstation with a gaming GPU
The Sentinel’s reported mix—Threadripper PRO 5995WX, 128GB RAM and RTX 4090—combines a professional high-core-count CPU with a consumer GeForce flagship. Two 2TB NVMe drives and an 18TB hard drive add substantial capacity. That can suit a user juggling production workloads and games, but storage volume and memory capacity do not automatically raise frame rates. The $13,249 price and availability are historical claims from the source list, not a verified current retail offer.

The remaining five: expensive configurations with caveats
Velztorm Gladio: higher reported price than the MSI
The $7,648 Gladio is reported with a Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 3090 and 128GB RAM, plus a mix of NVMe and hard-drive storage. Its reported price exceeds MSI’s $7,089 Infinite RS figure, which is why it appears above the MSI here. That price order does not establish that the Gladio is faster or better value: the configurations differ, and the source is the principal evidence for this listing.
MSI Infinite RS: a conventional gaming desktop at a high configured price
The source reports the 13NUI-420US with a Core i9-13900KF, RTX 4090, 128GB DDR5, 8TB NVMe and a 2TB hard drive. MSI’s 2024 product catalog positioned the Infinite desktop line as a gaming range, with models up to Core i9 and RTX 4090, and listed the series as starting at $3,899. That catalog starting price is not the price of the particular high-memory, high-storage configuration reported at $7,089.

Intel IPASON: an older flagship pairing
The reported $6,800 configuration pairs the Core i9-10900K with an RTX 2080 Ti, alongside 128GB RAM and a 1TB NVMe drive. Those older-generation parts may still run games, but the source does not establish that this was a standard 2024 retail product or that the name identifies a specific manufacturer configuration. Do not treat the reported price as evidence of current value or availability.
Velztorm Ballizta: the reported GPU needs checking
The source lists a $6,698 Ballizta with a Ryzen 9 5950X, 128GB RAM and 8TB NVMe storage, but identifies its GPU as an RTX 3050. That mismatch is material: it could reflect a listing error, a different configuration, or an unusually expensive set of non-GPU options. Without a confirming product listing, the RTX 3050 specification and price should be treated as unverified rather than as a reliable high-end gaming comparison.

Best Value
- CPU: AMD Ryzen7 5700X (up to 4.6GHz) 8-Core 16-Thread to easily handle multi-line tasks
- Main board: MSI B550M-A PRO motherboard provides reliable performance and stability
- GPU: Geforce RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 Graphics Cards (Brand may vary) Support DLSS 4 multi frame generation, ray tracing, and Reflex 2 delay optimization
- RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MHz (16GB*2) SSD: 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe

CLX Hathor Dual: a two-system streaming idea
The reported Hathor configuration includes a Core i9-13900KF, RTX 4080 and a second system intended for streaming. A dedicated streaming PC can isolate capture and broadcast tasks from a gaming machine, which may matter in particular production setups. It also adds cost and complexity; the source list does not independently establish the exact system architecture, configuration, or $6,199 historical price.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why these systems cost so much—and what the premium buys
- Professional compute: EPYC and Threadripper PRO processors, professional GPUs, and large memory pools target rendering, CAD, simulation, virtualization and other demanding workloads.
- Capacity: 128GB or 256GB RAM and multi-drive storage can be useful for large projects, virtual machines and media libraries. Most games do not need that much RAM, and a large hard drive adds capacity rather than NVMe-like access speed.
- Multiple GPUs: Two or three GPUs can help in some rendering and compute software, but only when the application supports them. Do not assume that adding GPUs improves ordinary game performance.
- Custom construction: Bespoke cases, complex liquid loops, assembly labor, finishes and service can contribute to the bill. A cooling system’s presence alone does not establish lower temperatures, quieter operation or higher frame rates.
- Configuration choices: A maximum-option price can reflect expensive storage, memory, support or professional components, not just gaming speed. “Up to” specifications describe what a platform may support, not necessarily what a specific priced system contains.
The GPU is often a major expense in a flagship gaming desktop, but it is not always the largest cost in an extreme build. A professional GPU, workstation CPU, custom cooling loop or high-capacity memory package can dominate the parts bill. GeForce cards are aimed at gaming and creator use; Quadro RTX and RTX A-series products target professional visualization and certified applications. The right choice depends on software and workload, not the prestige of the product label.
Does paying more improve gaming?
Not in proportion to the price. For gaming, a single high-end GeForce GPU, a strong gaming CPU, suitable memory and a capable SSD are usually more relevant than a second workstation GPU, hundreds of gigabytes of RAM or a huge hard drive. Older RTX 3090, RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 3050, Ryzen 5000-series and 10th-generation Intel parts in this list should not be presented as the fastest gaming hardware of 2024.
These systems can still make sense when a buyer has a workload that uses their extra compute capacity, needs workstation-class configuration or support, or values a custom showpiece. Without those needs, a less extravagant gaming desktop is likely to deliver a better relationship between spending and game performance. That is a use-case judgment, not a claim based on benchmark testing of these exact PCs.
How to set a sensible budget for your use
- Gaming only: Prioritize the graphics card and a balanced gaming platform. Do not pay for professional GPUs, extreme RAM capacity or storage you will not use.
- Gaming and streaming: A capable single PC may be sufficient; consider a second system only if your capture or production workflow benefits from separating tasks.
- Gaming plus creation: Match CPU, RAM and storage to the editing, rendering or design applications you actually use. A GeForce system may be suitable for many creator workflows; professional graphics features matter when the software and work require them.
- Professional rendering, simulation or compute: Evaluate application compatibility, GPU memory, CPU throughput, memory capacity, storage, support and reliability. A workstation premium is easier to justify when it saves time or supports required software.
- Luxury ownership: Custom fabrication, appearance and service may be part of the purchase’s value, but they are separate from gaming frame rate.
Before buying a quoted configuration, verify the exact model, parts, price date, region, tax and shipping, warranty, and whether the listed price is a starting, configured or maximum price. For a useful comparison, match systems by GPU, CPU, memory, storage and included service—not by headline price alone.
