Michelle Obama and Stephen and Ayesha Curry joined PLEZi Nutrition to introduce PLEZi Hydration, a sports hydration drink launched in March 2025. The collaboration is part of PLEZi’s expansion into hydration products—not the launch of a new company—and pairs the brand’s nutrition-focused mission with a drink aimed at people looking for a sports beverage.
What is PLEZi Hydration?
PLEZi Hydration is a sports hydration drink from PLEZi Nutrition. Launch coverage in March 2025 described the product as developed with input from registered dietitians. The announcement connected the drink to PLEZi’s broader aim of making what it describes as healthier choices easier to find.
Michelle Obama said at launch, “At PLEZi Nutrition, we’re always looking for ways to shake up the conversation around nutrition and make healthier choices easier for everyone.” Stephen Curry’s message, quoted in the launch report’s press-release material, was: “The next generation deserves better.”
Why are Michelle Obama and the Currys involved?
Their involvement puts prominent public figures behind PLEZi Nutrition’s move into sports hydration. The available launch reporting identifies the collaboration and the company’s nutrition goals; it does not establish that the product is a medical recommendation or that the partners independently tested its nutritional benefits.

Obama also described the drink as having “more potassium, less sugar, and lower sodium” than comparison products. That is her attributed product statement, not an independent finding that PLEZi Hydration is healthier overall. Nutrition can vary by brand, product formulation, and serving size.
What flavors does PLEZi Hydration come in?
The flavor lineup depends on whether you mean the launch-era names or the names currently shown by PLEZi. The March 2025 launch report listed Tropical Punch, Orange Mango Twist, and Lemon Lime. PLEZi’s current product page lists Fruit Punch, Orange Mango Swish, Berry Boom, and Lemon Lime Splash. The names differ, and the current page does not say which flavors are stocked at each retailer.

What was in the drink at launch?
The March 2025 launch report listed 12 g of sugar, 120 mg of sodium, 500 mg of potassium, and 90 mg of vitamin C per bottle. These are launch-era figures reported by PEOPLE, not a current independent check of the package label. Check the bottle you are buying for its serving size and up-to-date nutrition facts.
If you are comparing sports drinks, use current labels and compare like with like: serving volume, sugar, sodium, potassium, vitamin C, and price per ounce. The launch report’s selected comparisons with unnamed leading sports drinks do not establish a universal health ranking or show which electrolyte profile is right for every person or activity.

Where can you buy PLEZi Hydration?
PLEZi’s current official page says Hydration is available through Amazon nationwide and at select Walmart, Albertsons, Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Ralphs stores on the West Coast. That is a list of stated sales channels, not confirmation of current inventory at a particular store or on Amazon. The page does not establish current prices or which flavors are available at each location.
At launch, the March 2025 report said the drink was sold nationwide through Amazon and in stores at Walmart, Albertsons, Safeway, and other grocery retailers in California. It listed a launch price of $2.29 for a 16.9-ounce bottle. Those details are historical; check current listings and local stores for today’s price and availability.
