Cash App does not publish a list of casinos approved to accept it. Its U.S. policy allows an exception for legal gambling with merchants approved by Cash App and its banking partners, while Cash App Pay’s merchant rules classify online gambling and casino games as restricted transactions requiring prior written consent. That means a casino’s legality—or a payment that happens to go through—is not proof that Cash App approves the transaction.
Can you use Cash App at a casino?
Possibly, but only where the specific merchant and payment activity meet Cash App’s approval requirements. Cash App’s U.S. Acceptable Use Policy defines gambling as “Activity where an individual risks anything of value to get something of value based on a certain outcome.” It then states: “This does not include legal activity with merchants approved by the Company and the Company’s banking partners.” The exception is conditional: being legal where you live does not by itself establish that a casino is an approved merchant.
The reviewed official materials do not identify any named casino as currently approved for Cash App gambling transactions, or verify a particular casino’s consumer deposit, withdrawal, or in-person payment route. Do not treat a general claim that a casino “accepts Cash App” as confirmation that every Cash App product or transaction will work.
What Cash App’s rules say about casino payments
Cash App account policy
The U.S. Acceptable Use Policy makes approval by Cash App and its banking partners central to its exception for legal gambling. It also allows Cash App to suspend or terminate service for policy violations. The policy does not support either blanket claim that all legal gambling is allowed or that every gambling transaction is always prohibited.

Cash App Pay merchant rules
Cash App Pay’s Merchant Use Policy puts online gambling, betting, wagering, fantasy sports, and casino games in a restricted category that requires prior written consent. Its definition includes activities involving an entry fee and prize, including games of chance or skill. This is a merchant-facing rule about payment processing; it is not a public directory of casinos where a consumer can use Cash App.
Cash App Card and Cash App Tag
Cash App’s U.S. Terms of Service describe the Cash App Tag as an accessory linked to an active Cash App Card and subject to the applicable card terms. The terms do not establish that using the card or Tag makes a casino an approved merchant. Cash App also reserves the ability to decline or delay Cash App Pay transactions in specified circumstances.

How to check before making a casino transaction
- Ask the casino about the exact transaction. Confirm whether it accepts Cash App for the action you intend—such as an online deposit, withdrawal, or in-person purchase—and whether that option is available for your location. A deposit method does not necessarily support withdrawals.
- Ask Cash App whether the route is approved. Specify the casino, jurisdiction, and payment product: Cash App Pay, Cash App Card, or another route. For Cash App Pay, ask whether the merchant has the required prior written consent.
- Check the casino’s local terms. Verify that the operator and the specific gambling product are available where you are, and read its current payment and withdrawal conditions.
- Do not rely on a test payment as approval. An attempted or processed payment does not guarantee future acceptance or establish that the activity complies with Cash App’s policy. Do not disguise or mislabel a transaction to get around payment controls.
Why a payment going through is not a guarantee
Payment availability can depend on the merchant, transaction type, payment product, and jurisdiction. Cash App’s policies and terms reserve enforcement discretion and permit it to decline or delay certain payments. A successful transaction therefore does not prove that the casino has the necessary approval, that future payments will work, or that Cash App will continue to allow the activity.
Federal law provides no shortcut to answering whether a specific casino accepts Cash App. 31 U.S.C. § 5367 addresses potential liability in specified circumstances involving people with actual knowledge and control of bets and wagers who operate or control a website where unlawful bets may be placed. It is not a consumer payment guide and does not identify Cash App-approved casinos.
