TechRadar’s November 29, 2024 Black Friday Xbox roundup is an archive, not a list of live deals: its offers were tied to that year’s sales event and were due to end December 2, 2024. The prices below are historical US-dollar and UK-pound listings, not current quotes. Use them to see what the roundup covered, not as a basis for assuming a retailer still has the same price or stock. Read the original TechRadar roundup.
What this 2024 Xbox deal roundup covered
TechRadar’s Rhys Wood grouped its picks across consoles, controllers, headsets, storage, games and Xbox Game Pass. Retailers and prices differed by country, so a US price should not be compared directly with a UK listing as if they were the same offer. The entries below retain the retailers and prior prices reported in the original article; none is presented as available today.
Consoles
- Xbox Series X Digital Edition (1TB): $398 at Amazon, previously $449.99; Best Buy and Target were listed at $399.99. The UK listing was £429.99 at John Lewis.
- Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Edition: $599.99 at Best Buy, with a $75 gift card; Microsoft Store was listed at $599.99.

Headsets
- Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3: $149.99 at Amazon, previously $199.99; Best Buy was listed at $149.99 and UK HMV at £129.99.
- RIG 800 Pro HX: $99.99 at Amazon, previously $149; Best Buy was listed at $99.99 and UK Amazon at £89.90.
- SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X: $132.99 at Amazon, previously $179.99; Best Buy was listed at $134.99 and UK SteelSeries at £129.99.
- Razer BlackShark V2 X: $34.99 at Amazon, previously $49.99; Best Buy was listed at $34.99 and UK Amazon at £44.99. The TechRadar author said he owned and regularly used this headset; that is the author’s account, not an independent test result.
Storage
- Seagate Xbox Storage Expansion Card (1TB): $129.99 at Walmart, previously $199.99; Best Buy was listed at $129.99 and UK Very at £159.99. The roundup also listed the 2TB version at Walmart for $199.99.
- WD Black C50 (1TB): $99.99 at Walmart, previously $149.99; B&H was listed at $99.99 and UK SanDisk at £114.99.
- WD Black P40 (1TB): $99.99 at Amazon, previously $139.99; Best Buy was listed at $179.99. TechRadar distinguished this external drive from an Xbox expansion card: it said Series X|S games could be stored but not run from the P40, while Xbox One games could be stored and played. That is the roundup’s 2024 description, not a current official compatibility check.
Games
- EA Sports College Football 25: $29.99 at Walmart, previously $69.99; Best Buy was listed at $29.99 and UK Amazon’s digital code at £41.99.
- Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth: $24.99 at Amazon, previously $69.99; Walmart was listed at $33.01 and UK Amazon at £23.69.
- Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Edition: $49.99 at Amazon, previously $79.99; Best Buy was listed at $49.99 and UK Amazon at £39.95. The edition was described as including the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
- Far Cry 6: $14.99 at Best Buy, previously $39.99; Target was listed at $39.99 and UK Amazon at £25.40.
- Skull and Bones Limited Edition: $14.99 at Best Buy, previously $49.99. TechRadar said that edition included a bonus mission; Target’s standard edition was listed at $19.99 and UK Amazon at £14.99.
- Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: $19.99 at Best Buy, previously $69.99; Target was listed at $29.99 and UK Currys at £14.99.
Xbox Game Pass
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (three months): $27.99 at Loaded, previously $42.09; UK CDKeys was listed at £21.99. This was a digital subscription offer, rather than a physical product listing.
How to use these historical prices
The roundup is useful as a record of the models, game editions and retailer offers TechRadar highlighted in 2024, but it does not establish today’s price, stock, or whether any particular listing has changed. Before buying, check the exact model or edition, the retailer’s current checkout price, delivery costs, and the applicable return terms. For storage in particular, verify current Xbox compatibility guidance for the specific drive and games you plan to use; the original article’s distinction is historical context, not a substitute for that check.
TechRadar also disclosed that it could receive commission from purchases made through links on its page. That disclosure does not change the historical prices above, but it is relevant context when using retailer links.
