No—the latest Starbucks for Life promotion has ended. The 2025 Merrython ran from December 8, 2025, through January 4, 2026. It offered a weekly free play and sweepstakes entry to logged-in Starbucks Rewards members, and its official rules also provided a way to enter without a purchase. Here’s what the promotion involved, what “Starbucks for Life” meant, and what the rules say about the Bearista cup.
Is Starbucks for Life back?
Not as of September 30, 2026. Starbucks’ 2025 Merrython promotion ran from December 8, 2025, through January 4, 2026, and is over. The game featured four weekly cities: Seattle, Milan, Tokyo, and New York City. Starbucks has not announced a new promotion in the information available here. Starbucks’ game announcement and the official rules describe the 2025–26 event.

How did you enter the 2025–26 game?
Players signed in at starbucksforlife.com with a Starbucks Rewards account. Each week, logging in supplied one free Prize Play and one sweepstakes entry. A qualifying in-store purchase or the free alternate-entry method could provide up to two additional Prize Plays per day. Weekly challenges offered bonus plays. Delivery orders and alcoholic beverages did not qualify for purchase-based plays. The official rules set out the entry limits and methods.
How the Merrython game worked
The interactive game was a 90-second virtual run. Players chose an avatar and city, then collected red holiday cups and sets of menu items. They could skip the run and proceed to the instant-win result. The score and leaderboard were part of the game experience, not a way to improve instant-win odds: the rules say winning times were randomly seeded. That distinction follows from the game description and the official rules.

Could you enter without buying anything?
Yes. The rules said, “NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.” They provided an Alternate Method Request through the promotion site. Free plays and entries were limited to one per week, while additional plays were capped at two per day; weekly challenges could provide bonus opportunities. Check the official rules for the promotion’s exact entry terms.
What did “Starbucks for Life” mean?
In this promotion, Starbucks for Life meant a daily credit for one free food or beverage item for 30 years at participating U.S. Starbucks stores. Alcohol was excluded. The separate “Starbucks for a Year” prize meant a daily credit for one free food or beverage item for 365 days. These were defined prize terms, not an unrestricted cash award. Starbucks’ announcement describes the prize categories.

What could players win?
Instant prizes included handcrafted drinks, food, Starbucks gift cards, Bonus Stars, and the Glass Starbucks Bearista Cold Cup. The official rules counted 9,877,500 computer-generated, randomly seeded winning times across all instant-win game prizes and offers during the promotion. They separately counted 17,000 randomly seeded winning times for the Glass Starbucks Bearista Cold Cup. Those are winning-time counts, not per-entry odds. A precise chance of winning the cup cannot be calculated from those counts alone without the complete number and distribution of eligible plays. The official rules provide the winning-time figures.
Did a higher score improve your chances?
The published rules describe randomly determined instant-win outcomes tied to randomly seeded winning times. They do not say that collecting more items or earning a higher virtual-run score improved the chance of an instant win. Playing better may have changed the entertainment experience, but no competitive scoring advantage for prize outcomes is established by the rules. The official rules and game description explain the distinction.

Is the Bearista Cold Cup on Amazon?
The Glass Starbucks Bearista Cold Cup was an instant prize in the promotion, but the available information does not establish whether it is currently listed on Amazon, who might sell it, or at what price. Check Amazon directly before relying on a listing; verify the seller, item condition, and total cost. No current marketplace listing or affiliate eligibility is confirmed here.

What changed in Starbucks Rewards?
Starbucks said its redesigned Rewards program launched March 10, 2026, with Green, Gold, and Reserve tiers. Its January 29, 2026 investor release reported 35.5 million 90-day active U.S. members and said Green members receive opportunities to play games such as Starbucks for Life. It also named Delta SkyMiles and Marriott Bonvoy as linked loyalty programs. These program details do not mean that the ended Merrython is currently playable. Starbucks’ investor release provides the launch and membership information.
