Its domestic cumulative gross reached $77,316,291, according to The Numbers. The film’s box-office run continued despite negative reviews, but the available figures show the timing of its declines—not what caused them.
How much did Snow White earn in its first three weekends?
The Numbers’ domestic weekend chart lists these grosses and declines:
| Weekend | Dates | Domestic gross | Change from previous weekend |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opening | March 21, 2025 | $42,206,415 | — |
| Second | March 28, 2025 | $14,331,715 | Down 66% |
| Third | April 4–6, 2025 | $5,940,821 | Down 59% |
The third-weekend total ranked fourth on the domestic weekend chart. The Numbers reports a cumulative domestic gross of $77,316,291 through that weekend. These are U.S. domestic figures, not worldwide revenue. The Numbers’ film page provides the release’s box-office and financial data.
How did the opening compare with expectations?
Figures reported around release use different scopes and should not be treated as interchangeable. On March 23, 2025, the Associated Press reported an estimated $43 million opening across U.S. and Canadian theaters. The Numbers’ later domestic chart records $42,206,415 for the opening weekend in the United States. The first is a contemporaneous estimate covering two countries; the second is a domestic chart figure.

- Experience this musical, live-action reimagining of Walt Disney?s groundbreaking animated classic. Follow Snow White?s adventure as she journeys into magical woods to escape the Evil Queen and meets the beloved Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Happy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc who join her quest to restore the kingdom.
Expectations also varied by report. The Associated Press cited a pre-release opening range of $45 million to $55 million, while Rotten Tomatoes Editorial said tracking had anticipated more than $50 million. Those were forecasts, not box-office results. The AP’s opening estimate was below its cited range. The Associated Press report was published March 23, 2025; Rotten Tomatoes Editorial’s weekend report discusses the tracking figure.
What did critics and audiences think?
Negative reviews are a fair description of the contemporaneous critical response, but they do not establish that all audiences disliked the film. The Associated Press reported on March 23, 2025, that Snow White had a 43% Rotten Tomatoes freshness score at that time and a B+ CinemaScore. The freshness score was a dated snapshot and can change; CinemaScore is a separate measure. Neither number, by itself, explains the film’s week-to-week ticket sales.
Rank #2
Rotten Tomatoes’ listed critics consensus praises Rachel Zegler’s performance while criticizing aspects of the adaptation and style: “Snow White is hardly a grumpy time at the movies thanks to Rachel Zegler’s luminous star turn, but its bashful treatment of the source material along with some dopey stylistic choices won’t make everyone happy, either.” Rotten Tomatoes’ film page identifies the film and lists the consensus.
What film was playing in theaters?
Directed by Marc Webb and starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, the 2025 release is Disney’s live-action musical reimagining of its 1937 Snow White. That budget is a database listing, not a production-cost statement verified by Disney in the sources cited here. The Numbers also records a May 13, 2025 video release by Walt Disney Home Entertainment.
