Yes. Unitholders of CAPM BDBL Mutual Fund-01 approved a proposal to convert the fund from closed-end to open-end at a special general meeting on 7 October 2026. The conversion is not yet confirmed as effective: the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) disclosure says it remains subject to Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) approval under Rule 63 of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (Mutual Fund) Rules, 2025. What unitholders approved
The special general meeting took place at 11:00 AM at RAOWA Convention Hall, Hall-03 (Eagle), VIP Road, Mohakhali DOHS, Dhaka-1206. The proposal put to unitholders was to convert CAPM BDBL Mutual Fund-01 from a closed-end mutual fund to an open-end mutual fund. The DSE reported that 99.19% of unitholders, calculated by units held, voted in favor. DSE disclosure, 7 October 2026
Before the meeting, conversion and redemption had been described as alternatives under consideration. The vote selected the conversion proposal; it does not, by itself, establish that the fund has converted or that redemption remains available on particular terms. What still has to happen
The DSE disclosure makes the proposal subject to BSEC approval under Rule 63 of the 2025 Mutual Fund Rules. The fund prospectus also says conversion to an open-end scheme is subject to acceptance under BSEC rules and Commission approval. DSE disclosure, 7 October 2026 Fund prospectus

The available official disclosure confirms the unitholder vote, but does not establish a BSEC decision, an effective date, revised unit terms, or detailed implementation instructions. Until a subsequent official notice confirms approval and the relevant arrangements, the conversion should be described as proposed and conditionally approved by unitholders—not completed.
What investors can verify about the fund
CAPM’s fund page identifies CAPM BDBL Mutual Fund 01 as a closed-end fund, with CAPM Company Limited as asset manager and Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) as trustee and custodian. It lists an inception date of 12 January 2017 and the exchange trading code CAPMBDBLMF. CAPM fund page

Has trading resumed?
That cannot be established from the available notices. Earlier reporting on the exchange filing said trading in the units would be suspended from the 15 September 2026 record date until further notice. That information predates the 7 October meeting and is not a resumption notice. Unitholders should check the latest DSE announcement for current trading status rather than assume that trading has restarted. Earlier exchange-filing report

- A BSEC decision on the proposal under Rule 63.
- An official effective date and implementation instructions if approval is granted.
- Any notice setting out revised unit terms or explaining how holders can subscribe to or surrender units under the open-end structure.
- A current DSE notice confirming whether trading has resumed.
These details are not provided in the cited 7 October disclosure, so investors should rely on later notices from the regulator, the exchange, or the fund for updates.
