The 2025 Black Friday gaming offers have expired. They ran during a limited holiday-sale window in November and December 2025, so the prices below are historical examples—not deals available today. The official announcements cover US promotions; separately identified retailer prices come from a UK roundup published November 28, 2025.
When the 2025 Black Friday gaming deals ran
The sale windows differed by company. PlayStation said its offers began November 21, 2025, for a limited time. Xbox’s announced game sale ran November 20 through December 3, while Nintendo’s Cyber Deals ran November 20 through December 3 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Nintendo said selected physical Switch game offers began November 23.
These dates and terms describe the 2025 promotion only. The official announcements warned that availability could differ by market, retailer, or offer; none establishes a 2026 price or promotion.
PlayStation Black Friday deals: consoles, games and accessories
Sony Interactive Entertainment announced its US holiday offers on November 18, 2025, with promotions starting November 21 through PlayStation Store, direct.playstation.com, PlayStation Gear, and participating retailers. Sony said offers varied by region and retailer.

PS5 consoles and bundles
Sony listed Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundles at $399.99 for the 825GB PS5 Digital Edition and $449.99 for the 1TB console. It also said customers in select regions could save $100 on PS5 consoles, $100 on PS5 Digital Edition consoles, and $100 on PS5 Pro. Those figures are not a like-for-like comparison: the bundle prices included the named game content, while the $100 discounts were region-specific.
Games, hardware and subscriptions
Sony advertised PlayStation Store discounts of up to 75% on hundreds of selected PS5 and PS4 digital games. Named games with varied discounts included Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Lost Soul Aside, Astro Bot, and God of War Ragnarök. The maximum discount was an advertised ceiling, not a price available on every game.
Other stated discounts included $100 off PlayStation VR2, $20 off PlayStation Portal, $20 off Pulse Elite, $30 off Pulse Explore, $30 off DualSense Edge, $20 off DualSense, and $20 off the Access controller. PlayStation Plus promotions offered eligible new members in participating countries up to 33% off a 12-month membership; existing members could save 33% on the remainder of a membership when upgrading from Essential or Extra to Premium or Deluxe. Eligibility, catalogues, and recurring subscription terms varied. PlayStation Gear also advertised 60% off sitewide merchandise, and Sony described film offers through Sony Pictures Core.

Xbox Black Friday deals: digital games, Game Pass and accessories
Microsoft’s Xbox Wire announcement, published November 20, 2025, described US discounts on selected digital games of up to 75% and selected PC digital games of up to 85%. Xbox said the game sale ran through December 3, that offers varied by market and retailer, and that more than 2,000 games were on sale. That count and the discount ceilings were Xbox’s own announcement, not an independently audited market tally.
Examples named by Xbox included Fallout 76, Madden NFL 26, NBA 2K26, Hogwarts Legacy, Forza Horizon 5, Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2, Borderlands 4, and Battlefield 6.
Subscriptions, controllers and a limited bundle
Xbox advertised 14 days of Game Pass for $1 for eligible new subscribers, followed by $14.99 per month unless cancelled. This was a 2025 promotion and should not be treated as a current subscription price. Xbox also said customers could save on selected Xbox Wireless Headsets and Xbox Wireless Controllers, without specifying a single discount in the announcement text.

Which console should you buy?
The best deal is not automatically the console with the largest advertised discount. Compare the total package you would actually use: hardware model, included games, storage, controllers, whether you need a disc drive, and any subscription cost. The official offers do not provide a complete like-for-like basket across platforms.
Choose around your games and how you play
Start with the games you want and the people you play with. The 2025 announcements highlighted different titles and platform ecosystems, but an exclusive-only rule is too simple: The Guardian’s November 28, 2025, roundup noted that platform boundaries were blurring. Check the current platform availability of a specific game before buying a console for it.
Compare hardware features and the full cost
The models differ in form and format: the Guardian described Xbox Series X as having a disc drive and Series S as digital-only, while characterizing PS5 Pro as the higher-power PlayStation model. Nintendo Switch 2 supports a hybrid-compatible library, though Nintendo cautioned that some original Switch titles may not be supported or fully compatible. The Guardian reported that both Xbox Series X and PS5 can play games at up to 4K/120Hz; a compatible TV may be needed to take full advantage.
When considering a bundle, account for whether you would have bought the included game anyway. For a digital-only console, consider whether your existing or planned library is digital; for a disc-drive model, compare the value of physical games and discs against the price difference. Include any extra storage or controller you need, and treat a discounted subscription as a separate, time-limited offer rather than a permanent part of the console price.

Keep market and date comparisons separate
Do not compare the UK retailer snapshots above directly with the US manufacturers’ suggested retail prices or advertised discounts. They refer to different markets and evidence types. For a purchase now, check the retailer’s live price, stock, bundle contents, region, and compatibility details; none of the historical 2025 prices establishes a current offer.
