Coconut Cult may be worth buying if you want a tangy, dairy-free coconut yogurt and its ingredients and flavor appeal to you. It is harder to justify if you are mainly paying for a promised gut-health effect: a high probiotic count does not prove that this particular product will improve symptoms. Whether it fits your budget also depends on the current checkout total, shipping, and the flavor’s serving count—not just the jar price.
What Coconut Cult is
The brand describes its Original as a fermented coconut yogurt made with organic coconut cream, organic coconut meat, organic coconut water, and custom probiotic cultures. Its product page lists 16 culture species, including Lactobacillus, Streptococcus, and Bifidobacterium species. The brand describes the flavor as tangy and says the product contains no gums or fillers; these are manufacturer claims, not independent product testing. The Coconut Cult Original product page
The company says it makes the yogurt at its facility in Ogden, Utah, and sources coconuts from Thailand through its Fair Trade sourcing program. Those sourcing and production details are also the brand’s statements. The Coconut Cult FAQ
What you get in a serving
For Original, the product page lists a serving as 2 fl oz (56 g), with eight servings in a 16 fl oz jar. The label lists 120 calories, 9 g total fat, 8 g saturated fat, 4 g carbohydrate, 2 g fiber, 2 g total sugars, 0 g added sugars, and 2 g protein per serving. These figures apply to Original; the brand says sugar and other nutrition details vary by flavor, so use the panel for the specific product you are considering. #1 Best Overall
- Organic and plant-based ingredients
- Science-based probiotics
- Paper-based cup and net-zero plastic footprint
- Earth-friendly and sustainable materials
- Allergen information: tree_nuts
The brand recommends starting with 2–4 tablespoons and suggests eating it plain, adding it to overnight oats or breakfast, or blending it into a smoothie. That is a manufacturer serving suggestion, not medical dosing advice. The Coconut Cult Original product page
Does the probiotic count make it worth buying?
Not by itself. The brand identifies a multi-species culture blend and advertises a high probiotic count, but the available product information does not establish that Coconut Cult has been shown in a clinical trial to improve gut symptoms or treat a condition.

The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) notes that “Probiotic products may contain different types of probiotic bacteria and have different effects in the human body,” and that effects may vary from person to person. It also says strong scientific evidence is lacking for many proposed uses. A count of organisms is not the same as evidence of a specific health outcome. NCCIH, “5 Things To Know About Probiotics”
Probiotics’ possible effects and risks vary. NCCIH advises particular care for people with serious health conditions or compromised immune systems. Coconut Cult should not be treated as a remedy for bloating, IBS, or another condition, or as a substitute for medical care. NCCIH, “Probiotics: Usefulness and Safety”

How to decide whether the price is worthwhile
The product page offers one-time purchases and subscriptions. It states that new subscriptions have a three-order minimum; after the first three orders, subscribers may skip, pause, or cancel, and the page advertises a 10% subscription saving. The available product information does not establish a reliable current price or final shipping cost, so calculate value using the total shown at checkout rather than assuming the discount makes it cheaper. The Coconut Cult Original product page
For a useful comparison, divide the actual price you would pay—including shipping—by the number of servings listed on that flavor’s package. Then compare that per-serving cost with yogurts you would otherwise buy, while accounting for differences you care about: taste and tang, texture, ingredients, nutrition, dairy-free fit, and local availability. The company’s FAQ provides a store locator, but inventory depends on location. The Coconut Cult FAQ

- It may be a fit if you like tangy coconut yogurt, want a short ingredient list, and are comfortable paying the current per-serving cost.
- It may not be a fit if you prefer a mild or different texture, need a lower-cost staple, or are buying primarily for a health benefit that has not been demonstrated for this product.
- Check the exact flavor for nutrition and dietary suitability. The brand says core yogurts are vegan, dairy-free, and USDA Organic, but limited-edition collaborations can differ, including possible non-vegan ingredients such as honey. It says it continues to label coconut because some people may have sensitivities. The Coconut Cult FAQ
What the title’s “I tried it” can—and cannot—tell you
A first-person taste verdict would require an actual tasting. Without one, there is no basis to claim that the yogurt tastes good, has a particular texture, or is personally worth its price. The available facts support a buying decision based on the brand’s stated ingredients and label, your preferences, and the cost at checkout—not a firsthand review or a claim that Coconut Cult is clinically superior to other yogurts.
