Is Monster Hunter Wilds available on PC?
Yes. Capcom released Monster Hunter Wilds for PC as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on February 28, 2025. Capcom says the game supports cross-play, so players can play together across those platforms. Capcom’s release announcement identifies it as a hunting action game built with the RE ENGINE.

Is the 18% PC discount active?
It is not confirmed. The 18% figure appeared in an older Fanatical promotion, while the Steam listing reviewed for this article did not establish that the same offer is live. Since prices and availability vary by region and can change, check your local storefront’s current price and checkout total before deciding. No current price or active discount should be assumed from the headline alone.

Will your PC run Monster Hunter Wilds?
Steam Support says an SSD is required. Its listed performance targets are 1080p upscaled from a native 720p resolution at 30 fps on Lowest settings, or 1080p at 60 fps with Frame Generation enabled on Medium settings. These are stated targets, not guaranteed results for every PC.

Capcom has announced Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, a paid expansion planned for 2027. The company describes it as continuing the main game’s story with new quest ranks, locales, monsters and expanded weapon actions. Capcom has also said it is developing the game for Nintendo Switch 2, with further details to come in official updates. These plans do not change what is currently listed for PC. How popular is the game?
Capcom reported more than 10 million units sold in the game’s first month after its February 28, 2025 launch. That is a first-month figure, not a current lifetime sales total. In the same March 31, 2025 release, Capcom said the Monster Hunter series had exceeded 108 million cumulative sales as of December 31, 2024. Those figures provide context for the franchise’s reach, but they do not establish whether the PC edition or a particular sale is right for you. Capcom’s sales announcement gives the dated totals.
