Mirae Asset Sharekhan says eligible Indian residents and some NRIs can use its GIFT City service to access more than 10,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs. The provider also advertises fractional investing in more than 2,500 of them from USD 1, with funding described as an INR-to-USD remittance under India’s Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS). These are provider statements, not independent verification; eligibility, charges and applicable protections depend on the service terms and the investor’s circumstances.
What the GIFT City service offers
Mirae Asset Sharekhan’s service page, accessed in October 2026, advertises access to more than 10,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs. Its examples include Apple, NVIDIA, Alphabet, QQQ, SPY and VT. The provider says more than 2,500 stocks and ETFs in that universe are available for fractional investing from USD 1.
The provider says fractional or notional orders from USD 1 are market orders only. That means this minimum should not be read as a promise that every security is available fractionally, or that fractional orders can be placed with a limit price. Check the current offering and order options before investing.
Who the provider says can invest
The page lists resident Indians investing through LRS and certain non-resident Indians (NRIs) as eligible. It excludes NRIs, persons of Indian origin (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders based in the United States or Canada. These are the provider’s stated eligibility conditions; confirm that the service accepts your residency and status before opening an account.

For resident Indians, the provider states an LRS limit of USD 250,000 per PAN per year. This is the provider’s description, not an individual assessment of your available remittance capacity or a substitute for checking current RBI rules and your circumstances.
How funding is described
- Remit INR: The provider describes sending rupees from an Indian bank.
- Convert to USD: The remittance is converted into U.S. dollars.
- Credit the GIFT City wallet: The converted funds are credited to the wallet for investing.
Mirae Asset Sharekhan describes this route as LRS-compliant. Its page does not establish the currency-conversion spread or an investor-specific all-in cost, so confirm the conversion rate, applicable charges, withdrawal process and timelines directly before funding.

Which companies have roles in the service
The service page identifies Mirae Asset Capital Markets (IFSC) Pvt. Ltd. as an IFSCA broker dealer. Investor-protection and dispute-resolution caveats
The provider’s disclaimer says disputes relating to its U.S. stock service do not have access to specified recognised IFSC exchange investor-protection, dispute-resolution and grievance-redress mechanisms. The page also states that relevant SEC and FINRA fees apply and advises investors to review offering documents and seek independent professional advice. This is the provider’s description of the scope of those mechanisms; it should not be read as a general conclusion that an investor has no protections. The legal application to a particular customer has not been independently established here.
The same disclaimer distinguishes U.S. stocks from exchange-traded funds: an individual company share is not itself an ETF, although the service advertises access to both types of security. The page says all securities it mentions are exemplary and not recommendatory.
