The Chase Sapphire Preferred’s public 100,000-point welcome offer is no longer available. It ended July 30, 2026, so the “6 days left” headline is stale as of October 7, 2026. Chase’s public application page now lists 75,000 points after $5,000 in purchases within the first three months from account opening. Offers can vary by application route, so check the terms shown on the application you intend to use.
What offer is available now?
Chase currently advertises 75,000 bonus points after $5,000 in purchases during the first three months from account opening, with a $95 annual fee. These are the public terms on Chase’s Sapphire Preferred application page, checked October 7, 2026. Chase says offers may vary depending on where you apply and can change, so the terms displayed on your actual application route are the ones to verify before submitting.
The 100,000-point public offer required the same $5,000 in purchases within three months, but it ended July 30, 2026, according to contemporaneous coverage from NerdWallet and CNBC Select. That past offer is not a current public deadline or a reason to expect a matching targeted offer; no currently available targeted 100,000-point offer is established here.
What does the spending requirement mean?
For the current public bonus, the $5,000 threshold must be met through purchases in the first three months from account opening. Plan around the account-opening date and the exact terms Chase presents; do not assume that the period begins on the day you receive or activate the card. Spending you would make anyway is safer than taking on debt or buying unnecessary items to reach a bonus.

Chase lists a variable APR of 19.24%–27.49% on the application page. If you might carry a balance, interest charges can outweigh the value of the rewards. The bonus is not a substitute for comparing the card’s borrowing cost with your ability to pay the statement in full.
Could you be ineligible for the bonus?
Chase says the card is unavailable to people who currently have it open. A welcome bonus may also be unavailable if you previously held the card or received its bonus; Chase may consider how many cards you have opened and closed. These are restrictions, not a guarantee that an application will be approved or that a bonus will be awarded. Review the eligibility language in the current application terms before applying.

What ongoing benefits may matter?
Chase lists the following earning rates and credits for the card. Category exclusions and terms apply; the listed maximum credits are not guaranteed cash value for every cardholder.
| Benefit | Chase-listed terms |
|---|---|
| Chase Travel purchases | 5 points per dollar |
| Dining, select streaming services, eligible online groceries, gas and EV charging, and vacation homes | 3 points per dollar |
| Other travel | 2 points per dollar |
| Qualifying hotel bookings through Chase Travel | Up to $100 in statement credits each account anniversary year |
| Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS application fee | Up to $120 every four years |
These terms are listed on Chase’s Sapphire Preferred benefits page. The annual hotel credit requires a qualifying booking through Chase Travel; the application-fee credit applies only to an eligible fee and is limited by the stated four-year period.

Transfer and anniversary terms depend on when you applied
Chase’s 2026 benefit announcement says the 10% anniversary bonus ended for applicants on or after June 15, 2026. It also sets a 4:3 transfer ratio from Ultimate Rewards to World of Hyatt for the applicable new-applicant cohort. Chase’s current benefits page lists 4:3 for Hyatt and 1:1 for most other listed transfer partners. Existing cardmembers may have different transition timing, so new-account terms should not be assumed to apply to every current cardholder. See Chase’s benefit-change announcement and its current benefits page.
How should you think about the points’ value?
There is no single cash value established for every use of the points. Chase’s Ultimate Rewards agreement states that points redeemed for cash, gift cards, and travel are valued at one cent per point under that agreement. That figure does not establish the value of every transfer or redemption choice. The value you receive depends on the redemption method, and a transfer should be assessed against the specific travel you can book. The agreement is available from Chase’s Ultimate Rewards program agreement.

Is applying for the current offer worthwhile?
The expired 100,000-point offer should not drive a decision today. Consider the current 75,000-point offer only in the context of the $5,000 spending threshold, the $95 annual fee, your eligibility, and whether the ongoing categories and credits match your normal spending and travel habits. If you would need to spend more than planned or carry a balance to qualify, the bonus may not be worth pursuing.
