社名変更はいつ、どう実施された？
NTTコミュニケーションズは2025年5月9日、社名を「NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS株式会社（NTTドコモビジネス株式会社）」に変更する方針を発表しました。株主総会での承認を条件としており、6月19日の定時株主総会で承認され、7月1日に変更が実施されました。NTTコミュニケーションズの発表と顧客向けのお知らせで、発表時の予定と実施後の効力日を確認できます。
これは社名とコーポレートブランドロゴの変更です。発表資料は社名変更を説明していますが、既存サービスの終了や事業の置き換えを告知したものではありません。
なぜ「ドコモビジネス」に変わったのか
同社は、ドコモグループの新しいコーポレートアイデンティティーを反映し、グループとしての一体感を示すためと説明しています。グループ内の連携を強め、顧客価値の向上につなげることも目的に掲げました。NTTドコモも同日、グループ各社のロゴなどを含む新たなコーポレートアイデンティティーを発表しています。

したがって、「ドコモビジネス」という名称は、同社をドコモグループの法人向け事業として明確に示すブランド上の変更と捉えられます。名称の変更だけから、サービス内容や契約条件まで変わったと判断することはできません。
NTTコミュニケーションズとドコモビジネスは同じ会社？
今回の社名変更の前後で、名称の対象となる会社は同じです。会社の沿革によると、NTTコミュニケーションズは2022年にNTTドコモグループの一員となり、2025年7月にNTT DOCOMO BUSINESSへ社名を変更しました。現在の同社は、NTTグループの中核的な法人向けICT事業を担う会社と説明しています。詳細は同社の沿革で確認できます。
同社の経営メッセージでは、IoT、AI、デジタルBPO、地域企業や中小企業のDXなどを重点領域として挙げ、産業や地域のDXを支えるプラットフォーム事業者を目指すとしています。これは現在の事業方針を示す情報であり、社名変更そのものがこれらの事業を新設したという意味ではありません。経営メッセージに記載されています。
社名変更で契約書や請求先の変更は必要？
全顧客に一律で契約変更が必要だという案内は確認できません。NTT DOCOMO BUSINESSのオンラインショップは、契約上、新しい会社名への変更が必要な顧客は同社へ連絡するよう案内しています。つまり、必要な手続きは契約内容によって異なります。

- 契約書に会社名の変更や届出に関する条項があるか確認する。
- 請求書、発注書、社内の取引先登録などで名称更新が必要か、勤務先の担当部署にも確認する。
- 契約上の手続きが必要か判断できない場合は、NTT DOCOMO BUSINESSに問い合わせる。
「社名が変わったので全員が契約を結び直す」とは限りません。個別契約への適用や必要書類は、契約書と同社の案内に基づいて確認してください。
