Which NTPC Executive Trainee recruitment was this?

Scroll reported on December 12, 2023 that NTPC was seeking to fill 30 Finance-CA/CMA Executive Trainee posts. Applications were to be submitted online through NTPC’s careers site by December 20, 2023. That deadline has passed, so this is not a current opening.

These specific terms are attributed to Scroll’s December 12, 2023 report. NTPC’s linked detailed advertisement was not retrievable when checked, so its full terms could not be independently confirmed from that notice.
Was this recruitment through GATE?
No: the Finance-CA/CMA opening was a distinct advertisement from the Engineering Executive Trainee cycle. NTPC’s general recruitment-system description says engineering trainees are recruited through GATE results followed by further stages. For trainees in other areas, it describes all-India selection tests followed by group discussion and interview.
That general description does not establish the exact selection sequence for Advertisement No. 24/2023. Because the detailed notice could not be accessed, do not assume that every stage described for other trainee categories applied to these Finance-CA/CMA posts.

For future vacancies, confirm the discipline, advertisement number, dates and application route in NTPC’s official jobs archive before applying. NTPC’s archive also warns about fake interview calls seeking refundable deposits: the company says it has not sent emails requesting refundable deposits for job openings. Treat unsolicited requests for such payments as suspicious.
