The latest dated official confirmation located says ICICI Prudential Midcap Fund’s fresh lumpsum subscriptions and switches were still temporarily suspended as of March 31, 2026. That does not establish the fund’s status on October 7, 2026: a later update could have changed it, and the AMC’s July 2026 factsheet page does not confirm whether the restriction was lifted. Check the AMC’s current scheme notice or transaction flow before placing an order.

What is confirmed—and what is not

ICICI Prudential AMC’s Equity Blue Book, with scheme data as of March 31, 2026, states that fresh subscriptions through lumpsum or switches into the scheme had been temporarily suspended effective March 14, 2024. This is the latest dated official statement located that explicitly addresses the restriction. It is not confirmation of the transaction status after March 31, 2026.

The AMC’s July 31, 2026 digital factsheet page identifies the fund but does not say in its searchable content whether the restriction was later lifted. Because that source does not settle the current status, do not assume either that lumpsum orders have reopened or that the suspension remains in force on October 7, 2026.

How to verify before investing

  1. Open ICICI Prudential AMC’s ICICI Prudential Midcap Fund page and review the latest scheme notices or addenda for a change to the restriction.
  2. Check the AMC’s transaction flow for the specific investment mode and amount you intend to use. Confirm that it accepts the order before relying on an older notice or a third-party platform listing.
  3. Verify separately whether switches, SIPs, STPs, or other transaction modes are permitted and whether any per-PAN or amount limits apply. The lumpsum suspension notice does not establish availability or limits for those modes.
  4. If the notice and transaction flow appear inconsistent, contact the AMC or your investment platform for confirmation before submitting the transaction.

What the restriction applies to

The AMC classifies ICICI Prudential Midcap Fund as an open-ended equity scheme predominantly investing in mid-cap stocks, with a minimum 65% investment in mid-cap stocks, according to its Equity Blue Book data as of March 31, 2026. The stated restriction concerns fresh lumpsum subscriptions and switches into the scheme; it is not the same as an exit load on redemption or switch-out.

Other dated scheme details to keep separate from the status check

Historical returns are not a current subscription signal

ICICI Prudential AMC’s March 2026 factsheet reports these returns as of March 31, 2026. Fund figures are for the Growth option; benchmark figures are for the Nifty Midcap 150 TRI.

Period Growth option Nifty Midcap 150 TRI
One year 11.10% 2.27%
Three years 22.26% annualized 20.32% annualized
Five years 17.77% annualized 17.49% annualized

These are historical figures, not forecasts or evidence that a transaction route is currently open. The AMC cautions that past performance may or may not be sustained. See the March 2026 factsheet for the stated performance details.

Exit load is a separate rule

The March 2026 factsheet states an exit load of 1% for redemption or switch-out within one year from allotment, and nil after one year. This is a charge on specified exits; it does not answer whether fresh lumpsum purchases are currently accepted.

Scheme description and stated horizon

The AMC’s March 31, 2026 Equity Blue Book names Lalit Kumar as fund manager, identifies the Nifty Midcap 150 TRI as the benchmark, describes a blend of growth and value style, and gives an indicative investment horizon of five years and above. These dated scheme details do not replace checking the latest official documents. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks; read scheme-related documents carefully.
