When will farmers get the PM-KISAN 24th instalment?
The Government of India’s PM-KISAN portal records the 23rd instalment as released on 20 June 2026. The official information reviewed for this article does not confirm a date for the 24th instalment. The scheme provides eligible landholding farmer families ₹6,000 a year in three equal instalments of ₹2,000, paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Who is eligible for PM-KISAN?
Cultivable landholding is the primary eligibility criterion, subject to exclusions related to higher economic status and government verification. The scheme is for eligible landholding farmer families; meeting the landholding criterion alone does not establish that a particular person or family will receive a payment. Important exclusions
The revised operational guidelines exclude these categories:
- Institutional landholders.
- Current or former constitutional officeholders.
- Specified elected representatives, mayors and district-panchayat chairpersons.
- Specified serving or retired government employees and pensioners.
- People who paid income tax in the last assessment year.
- Registered professionals actively practicing as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants or architects.
- New beneficiaries who are NRI landholding families.

Cases that may be held for verification
The PM-KISAN portal flags suspected cases involving land ownership acquired after 1 February 2019 and cases where more than one family member is receiving benefits. It says benefits in such cases may be temporarily withheld pending physical verification. These are indicators for review, not a determination of an individual case. PM-KISAN portal notice
How to check PM-KISAN beneficiary and payment status
Use the official “Know Your Status” tool for account-specific payment and eKYC information. A village beneficiary list is a separate lookup: being listed and seeing a particular payment credited are not the same check.

- Open the official Know Your Status page.
- Enter your PM-KISAN registration number and complete the on-page verification. The page says an OTP is sent to the registered mobile number.
- Review the payment status, bank name, UTR number, payment mode, credited-account indicator, credit date and financial-year-wise eKYC status shown for your record.
- If you do not know your registration number, use the official registration-number lookup, which allows a search by mobile number or Aadhaar number.
- For a village-level list, open the Beneficiary List page and select your state, district, sub-district, block and village.
What to check if a payment is pending
First check eKYC and Aadhaar-bank-account seeding on the official portal. The portal says eKYC is mandatory for registered farmers. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare says DBT payment cannot be processed when the bank account is not Aadhaar-seeded; dues are transferred after that requirement is completed. The Ministry reported that 30,18,361 farmers had pending Aadhaar-bank account seeding as of 6 February 2026. That is a dated administrative count, not a current figure. PIB release, 10 February 2026

How much has PM-KISAN paid?
The Prime Minister of India website reported that more than ₹4.47 lakh crore had been transferred through 23 instalments. For the 23rd instalment, it reported more than 9.49 crore farmers benefited and over ₹18,984 crore released. These are cumulative and instalment-specific figures published in 2026, not a forecast for the 24th instalment. Prime Minister of India: PM-KISAN
An earlier Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare release said more than ₹4.09 lakh crore had been disbursed through 21 instalments.
