Nor can it support a single figure for what $1,000 invested in the stock will be worth in 2030. The answer depends on your entry price and on how Nebius executes a capital-intensive expansion plan.
What does buying NBIS mean?
NBIS is the Nasdaq ticker for Nebius Group N.V., headquartered in Amsterdam. The group’s core business, Nebius AI cloud, sells GPU computing capacity, storage, networking, managed services, and software for AI training and inference. The parent company also reports the Avride autonomous-vehicle and delivery-robotics business, the TripleTen education business, and equity stakes that include ClickHouse and Toloka.
That structure matters: an NBIS shareholder owns part of the parent group, not a direct claim on its AI cloud segment alone. Consolidated results can include the results of other operations and gains or losses on investments.
What did Nebius report in 2026?
Nebius’s Q2 2026 results show rapid growth in its cloud business alongside a substantial investment program. The company reported approximately $582 million in group revenue for the quarter, up 454% year over year. Its Q2 shareholder letter put the AI cloud segment’s adjusted EBITDA margin at approximately 50%; the company’s SEC filing reported $285.7 million in adjusted EBITDA for that segment.

These figures describe different parts of the business and different accounting measures. In particular, positive segment adjusted EBITDA does not establish that the consolidated group is profitable or that it generates positive free cash flow after infrastructure spending.
How is Nebius funding its expansion?
In July 2026, Nebius announced approximately $775 million in secured financing backed by deployed GPU infrastructure and contracted cash flows. The company disclosed a maturity date of October 31, 2030, and pricing of SOFR plus 2.50%.

Nebius also said it had more than $40 billion in additional contracted revenue from investment-grade customers, including Microsoft and Meta. That is a company-reported commitment figure, not a guarantee that all contracted revenue will be delivered on schedule or collected without risk. Building capacity, meeting delivery obligations, servicing financing, and reliance on large customers all affect how much of that demand translates into returns for shareholders.
What could $1,000 invested in NBIS be worth in 2030?
There is no evidence-based single answer without a purchase date, purchase price, and a supported 2030 share-price assumption. A July 2026 secondary article presented a speculative valuation scenario based on projected revenue and EBITDA and assumed cloud-company valuation multiples. It is not company guidance, consensus, or a dependable expected return.

Calculate the investment from explicit assumptions
- Set the entry price. Choose the date and NBIS share price at which the hypothetical $1,000 investment is made.
- Calculate the shares. Divide $1,000 by that entry price. If the resulting amount is fractional, the calculation assumes fractional-share investing is available; fees and taxes are excluded unless you add them.
- Choose a hypothetical 2030 share price. Any valuation scenario should state the assumptions behind it, including business growth, valuation multiples, and future share count.
- Calculate the illustrative value. Multiply the shares from step two by the hypothetical 2030 share price. This is a scenario calculation, not a forecast.
Future share-count changes matter because issuing additional shares can dilute existing ownership. A company’s business could grow while the value attributable to each share grows more slowly, depending on the price paid for that growth and how it is financed. Without supported inputs for the purchase price and 2030 per-share value, giving a precise dollar outcome would imply more certainty than the available information supports.
Why an upside-only scenario is incomplete
- Execution: contracted demand has to be matched by delivered capacity and functioning infrastructure.
- Investment and financing: the scale of property and equipment purchases, plus borrowing costs, affects the cash available to fund growth.
- Customer reliance: large commitments can support expansion, but reliance on a small number of major customers creates exposure if delivery, timing, or demand changes.
- Valuation and dilution: future returns depend on the price investors pay for earnings or cash flow and on how the share count changes.
Was NBIS one of 2026’s best-performing AI cloud stocks?
That ranking is not established by the available evidence through October 7, 2026. A secondary investing result cited a 146% year-to-date return, but did not provide an observation date matching that cutoff or define a comparable set of AI cloud stocks. The figure therefore cannot establish a same-date performance ranking.

A meaningful comparison would use one market-data source, the same start and end dates, and a clearly named peer group. It would also help to compare revenue growth, customer concentration and contract duration, operating results versus free cash flow, capital spending and financing needs, capacity delivery, segment margins, and valuation. The available figures explain why those measures matter for Nebius but do not establish a complete peer comparison.
