How much does Sam’s Club delivery cost?
Standard Delivery from Club costs $12 per order for Club members. Plus members pay $8 when an order is under $50, or no standard delivery fee when the order contains at least $50 in eligible items before tax. The threshold is based on eligible merchandise, not the post-tax total. Add-on members pay Club-level delivery fees, even if their account is linked to a Plus membership.
Faster options have separate, additional fees: Express, described as delivery as soon as one hour, is $10 for Plus and $22 for Club; delivery in three hours or less is $5 for Plus and $17 for Club. The FAQ says these faster options have no minimum. These are Sam’s Club’s published service fees accessed in 2026; availability and charges can change, so the amount and slot shown for your cart at checkout are the practical confirmation.
Sam’s Club says Delivery from Club item prices match in-club and pickup prices. That means the key comparison is the service fee, not an assumed delivery markup. The published fees do not establish whether delivery is cheaper than your own trip: fuel, travel time, and the value you place on convenience differ by shopper.

When pickup is the better choice
Choose curbside pickup when keeping service charges down matters most, you can reach a participating club, and your items and preferred time are available. Sam’s Club describes pickup as free with no minimum for eligible orders. You still need to make the trip, and large or bulky purchases require enough vehicle space.
Pickup is not available for every product at every club. Check item eligibility and local time slots when placing the order. The Pickup page also notes that order edits are subject to a cutoff, so make changes within the window shown for your order rather than assuming you can update it at any time.

When delivery is worth paying for
Delivery can make sense when avoiding a trip or carrying groceries is worth the applicable charge, or when a Plus member’s eligible pre-tax basket reaches $50 and standard delivery is available at no fee. For a smaller Plus order, compare the $8 fee with the convenience; for a Club order, use the $12 standard charge as the comparison. An add-on member should use Club-level charges in that calculation.
Choose an expedited option only if its shorter window matters enough to justify the additional per-order fee. Express and delivery in three hours or less are distinct options with different prices; check the checkout quote rather than treating either as a guaranteed arrival time.

Timing, eligibility, and other limits
Same-day timing is conditional
Sam’s Club says same-day ordering is generally by 1 p.m. local time, but same-day service is not guaranteed. Standard delivery may be same-day or next-day, while pickup also depends on available slots. A time window displayed for your address and cart is more useful than a general promise because coverage, inventory, club hours, and demand can affect what is offered.
Some items and locations are excluded
Delivery is limited by item and address eligibility. Sam’s Club lists examples of items that may be excluded, including gift cards, tires, flowers, prescriptions, Café items, mobile phones, alcohol, and tobacco; this is not an exhaustive list. Delivery is not available in Puerto Rico according to the shop-options page. Check the cart for the items and destination you actually want before choosing a service.

Pickup is likewise limited to eligible items and participating locations. Confirm the club, products, and slot in the order flow before relying on either option for a time-sensitive shop.

Do not decide from delivery fees alone. Plus removes the standard delivery charge only for eligible orders of at least $50 before tax; under that threshold, the listed fee is $8, and faster options still carry their own charges. Whether an upgrade makes financial sense depends on your actual order frequency, basket sizes, and the other membership benefits you would use. Compare those benefits with the current membership terms on Sam’s Club’s Join the Club page rather than assuming delivery savings alone will cover an upgrade.

A quick way to choose
- Check eligibility first. Put the items and delivery address or pickup club into the Sam’s Club app or website and see which service and slots are available.
- Compare the service charge. Pickup is listed as free for eligible orders at participating clubs. For delivery, apply the standard fee for your membership and eligible pre-tax basket, then add any expedited fee if you choose a faster option.
- Weigh the trip against the fee. If driving to the club and loading the order is acceptable, pickup is usually the cost-conscious default. If avoiding that trip matters more, delivery may be worth its charge.
- Confirm at checkout. Fees, eligible products, and time windows can change; use the final cart and slot shown for your order.
