Yes: Costco offered a 157-piece Le Creuset kitchen set in 2023 for about $4,500. That was a historical offer, not confirmation that the set is available now. Reports at the time said it was out of stock at many Costco locations. [The Kitchn, 2023]
What was in Costco’s 157-piece Le Creuset set?
The bundle was not 157 pots and pans. Its reported contents mixed cookware, bakeware, tableware, serving pieces, utensils, and kitchen accessories. The itemization published by Moms Who Think included a 16-quart stockpot and eight each of dinner plates, salad plates, soup bowls, and pasta bowls. [Moms Who Think, 2023]
Reported cookware included three Dutch ovens, a braiser, roasting and casserole dishes, pans, saucepans, and stockpots. The bundle also included baking pans, a kettle, a French press, utensils, tableware, serving items, and accessories. [The Kitchn, 2023] [Moms Who Think, 2023]
The Costco product description, reproduced by The Kitchn in 2023, called it “The ultimate cookware set from Le Creuset includes everything you need to set up your kitchen to be your own professional chef.” That was marketing copy, not a named spokesperson’s statement. [The Kitchn, 2023]

What did it cost, and how was the value calculated?
The Kitchn reported the Costco price at about $4,500 in October 2023. Moms Who Think listed a Costco bundle price of $4,499.99 and calculated $7,102 as the sum of individual prices it assigned to the listed items—a $2,602 difference. Those figures describe a 2023 publisher comparison; they are not current prices or an independently verified discount today. [The Kitchn, 2023] [Moms Who Think, 2023]
How to judge whether a bundle like this is worth it
The headline item count and historical itemized comparison do not establish that the bundle is a good deal for every household. Its practical value depends on whether you would use—and have room for—the full assortment.
Rank #2
- Triple-reinforced surface that is now 4x stronger
- Textured interior promotes browning and searing for exceptional flavor — and easily wipes clean
- Hard anodized aluminum construction allows for quick and even heating
- Stay-cool ergonomic handles allow for quick, comfortable movement
- Compatible with all cooktops and oven-safe up to 500°F (tempered glass lids up to 425°F)
- Price what you would actually buy. Compare the current bundle price, if offered, with current prices for the pieces you genuinely need. A published sum of item prices is less useful if much of the set would go unused.
- Check the mix. This package combined major cookware with substantial tableware and accessories. It may suit someone outfitting a kitchen better than someone replacing one pan.
- Account for storage and use. Consider where the cookware, dishes, and accessories would go and whether they fit your cooking and serving habits.
- Verify availability before planning around it. The 2023 reporting establishes a past offer, not a live Costco listing or current warehouse inventory.
What if you only want one Le Creuset piece?
A standalone Dutch oven is a more focused route than buying a large mixed bundle. The Kitchn’s 2023 article identified a 7.25-quart enameled cast-iron Dutch oven as an Amazon listing, but its price and availability then are historical and do not establish today’s offer. The same 7.25-quart size was included in the reported Costco set. Check current retailer listings and prices before deciding. [The Kitchn, 2023] [Moms Who Think, 2023]
