Which Steam Deck model was discounted?
The 20% discount applied to the 256GB LCD Steam Deck, not the OLED model. Valve announced the October offer as part of its Steam Autumn Sale 2025. The OLED is a separate model; buyers comparing the two should weigh display type and configuration against the actual price and availability they can find now. When did the 2025 offers end?
Valve’s Autumn Sale announcement set the LCD model offer’s end at October 6, 2025, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. That date is earlier than the end of the month, so the headline’s “rest of the month” wording does not match Valve’s stated deadline.
TechRadar reported that Valve’s first-ever Steam Black Friday sale ran through December 1, 2025, and also featured the 256GB LCD model at 20% off. Both promotions are historical; neither establishes a price or stock level available in 2026.

Is the Steam Deck expandable?
Yes. Valve’s product page identifies microSD support, so a microSD card for Steam Deck can be an optional way to add storage. Check the specific card listing for its stated compatibility and performance; the general support does not certify every card equally.
