The device in the offer is a refurbished Microsoft Surface Pro 6: a tablet with a built-in kickstand that can be used more like a laptop when paired with a separate Type Cover. BleepingComputer Deals advertised a specific configuration for $229.99, 72% below its stated $849.99 MSRP, on March 2, 2026. That was a dated promotion, not a confirmed current price or available offer.
What the advertised Surface Pro 6 includes
The March 2, 2026 listing described this configuration:
- 8th-generation Intel Core i5-8250U quad-core processor
- 8GB of RAM
- 256GB SSD
- 12.3-inch PixelSense touchscreen with touch and pen input
- Built-in kickstand
- Windows 11, according to the deal listing
The listing also claimed up to 13.5 hours of typical-use battery life. That is the seller’s stated estimate, not an independently measured result. The deal page did not provide hands-on testing or comparative benchmarks. BleepingComputer Deals’ March 2, 2026 offer is the source for these specifications and claims.
Why it can work as a tablet or laptop
The touchscreen and kickstand are part of the listed tablet. A Type Cover is not included in the offer, according to the deal page; you would need to buy one separately for a laptop-style keyboard setup. The listing mentions pen input but does not identify a particular pen model, so check compatibility before buying an accessory.

How to read the 72% discount
BleepingComputer Deals advertised the refurbished configuration at $229.99 against an $849.99 MSRP and described that as 72% off. Those are the deal publisher’s figures for the promotion published March 2, 2026—not a guarantee that the discount, price, or stock remains available. The article says, “Prices subject to change.”
The deal page identifies StackCommerce as the provider in partnership with BleepingComputer and says buyers must register an account in the StackCommerce store. It also discloses that BleepingComputer earns a commission on each sale. These details describe that promotion; they do not establish current checkout terms.

What to check before buying a refurbished unit
The deal article calls its unit like-new, professionally inspected, and expected to arrive with minimal cosmetic wear. Those are listing descriptions, not independent inspection findings, and they may not describe other sellers’ inventory. Before paying, compare the live listing with the offer you expect to receive.
- Confirm the exact processor, memory, and storage configuration.
- Check the condition grade and what the seller means by inspected or like-new.
- Verify whether a Type Cover or pen is included; do not assume either comes with the tablet.
- Read the current return policy, warranty terms, and any account or checkout requirements.
- Compare the current checkout price—not a past MSRP comparison—with the condition and accessories offered.
The March 2026 deal article does not establish current inventory, checkout price, warranty or return terms, official support or security lifecycle, or performance compared with newer Surface models. Confirm those points with the seller and current product information before deciding.
