That was a temporary point in Chatr’s plan lineup, not its current offer: as of October 4, 2026, Chatr’s plan page lists $35/month for 30GB, including a 5GB Auto-Pay bonus, for new activations.
What changed in April 2026
Before the change, Chatr offered 60GB for $34 per month and 80GB for $39. The April offer put 80GB at $34 per month and removed the $39 option, as reported by MobileSyrup and a second report published the same day by iPhone in Canada.
MobileSyrup said the 80GB offer included a 25GB Auto-Pay bonus. That means the bonus was part of the advertised total, rather than evidence that every customer received 80GB as a base allowance independent of Auto-Pay. The reports described an improvement in data at the $34 price point, but the change was specific to that offer and date.
What Chatr lists now
Chatr’s plan page currently advertises $35 per month for 30GB, including a 5GB Auto-Pay bonus, for new activations. A July 2026 report documented the move from the earlier $34/80GB offer to $35/30GB: MobileSyrup’s July report. The April price cut should therefore not be read as a current deal.

The featured monthly plan page lists unlimited Canada-wide talk, unlimited Canada/US/international text, voicemail and 4G data. Chatr describes its service as prepaid, with no credit checks, no commitment and no surprise charges. Review the plan’s current terms before signing up: advertised pages may not spell out taxes, activation conditions, coverage limits or every service condition.
What to check before switching
- Price and data: Compare the monthly price with the allowance, and check whether a displayed total includes an Auto-Pay bonus. Chatr’s current listing says the $35 plan is for new activations; ask Chatr whether existing customers can switch and when a change would take effect.
- Coverage and service: The plan page describes 4G data, but an allowance does not guarantee service where you live or travel. Check coverage for the places you use your phone.
- Calling and texting: Confirm the destinations included in talk and text, and whether the plan suits your international calling or roaming needs. Inclusions from an older offer should not be assumed to apply to today’s plan.
- Payment commitment: A monthly prepaid plan offers a different payment schedule from an annual plan. Compare the amount due up front and the terms that apply across the year.
- Other carriers: Compare current offers directly. Competitor comparisons published alongside the April change are historical and may no longer reflect available plans.
Chatr’s listed annual plans
Chatr’s annual plan page lists two options:

Chatr says these annual plans have no credit check or term contract and offers eSIM activation or a physical SIM option. Any monthly equivalent is simply the annual payment divided across 12 months; it is not a monthly subscription. The page does not establish how the 40GB is allocated over the year or what happens when it is used up, so check the official terms if those details matter to your budget.
