TCGplayer’s January 20, 2026 price guide put both Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Boxes above their stated MSRP: the standard box at $117.82 versus $49.99, and the Pokémon Center exclusive at $314.29 versus $59.99. A later TCGplayer search snapshot displayed still higher prices, but its exact capture time was not given. Those figures show a substantial observed premium—not why prices rose, how quickly they changed, or where they will go next.
Two different boxes, not one price
The standard Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box and the Pokémon Center-exclusive version have different contents, so their prices should not be compared as if they were the same product. TCGplayer’s seller guide lists nine booster packs and one N’s Zekrom promo in the standard ETB; the Pokémon Center version has 11 packs and two promos, including one with a Pokémon Center logo. TCGplayer’s seller guide sets out the two configurations.
| Product | Booster packs and promos | Stated MSRP | TCGplayer market price, Jan. 20, 2026 | Later TCGplayer search snapshot |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Ascended Heroes ETB | Nine packs; one N’s Zekrom promo | $49.99 | $117.82 | $159.65; snapshot capture time not stated |
| Pokémon Center-exclusive ETB | 11 packs; two N’s Zekrom promos, one bearing a Pokémon Center logo | $59.99 | $314.29 | $387.37; snapshot capture time not stated |
The January prices and MSRPs come from TCGplayer’s January 20, 2026 guide. The later prices come from a dynamic marketplace search result; its exact capture time was not available. The search result also showed 231 listings for the standard ETB and 139 for the exclusive, but listing counts and displayed market prices do not establish how many boxes actually sold. TCGplayer’s marketplace search can change, so check live listings before buying or selling.
How large was the observed premium?
Against the stated MSRP in TCGplayer’s January 20 guide, the standard ETB’s $117.82 market price was $67.83 higher, or about 2.36 times MSRP. The exclusive’s $314.29 price was $254.30 higher, or about 5.24 times MSRP. These are comparisons of the guide’s dated market prices with its stated MSRPs, not guaranteed transaction prices or a measure of what any particular buyer paid.

#1 Best Overall
The later snapshot displayed $159.65 for the standard box and $387.37 for the Pokémon Center version. Because the snapshot has no exact capture time, it supports saying that a later result showed higher displayed prices; it does not provide a precise interval or a continuous price history. Market prices and listings can move, and buyers should not treat either snapshot as a current quote.
What the premium can—and cannot—explain
The products offer a straightforward reason to keep their values separate: the Pokémon Center box includes two additional booster packs and a second promo card, with one promo carrying the store’s logo. That difference may be relevant to how buyers value each configuration, but the available price snapshots do not establish that it caused the premium or its increase.

Likewise, the observed prices alone do not show whether demand, supply constraints, promotional distribution, or speculation drove the market. They do not prove scarcity, investor behavior, sell-through, or future returns. Treat those as possible explanations only when supported by independent evidence; a price comparison by itself cannot distinguish among them.

Quick Recap
What to check before buying or selling
- Confirm whether a listing is for the standard ETB or Pokémon Center exclusive; the names can look similar while the contents and stated MSRPs differ.
- Compare the full item configuration and condition, not just a displayed market-price figure.
- Check current completed-sale information and live listings where available. The snapshots cited here do not establish actual transaction volume or a guaranteed sale price.
- Decide whether the box’s contents justify the price to you. A historical premium is not evidence that the price will continue rising.
