Bed Bath & Beyond returned to physical retail under the store banner Bed Bath & Beyond Home, with its first announced location in Nashville, Tennessee, scheduled to celebrate its grand opening on August 8, 2025. A separate, newer format—the Container Store + Bed Bath & Beyond—debuted in Fort Worth, Texas, in May 2026. Neither store name should be confused with the corporate parent’s separate 2025 name change to Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc.
Is Bed Bath & Beyond coming back?
Yes, but the comeback has taken more than one form. The brand returned online in 2023 after Overstock acquired it, and the company described the business as ecommerce-focused. Physical retail followed with Bed Bath & Beyond Home in Nashville in 2025. In 2026, a distinct co-branded store with The Container Store opened in Fort Worth.
The announcements establish the stores and their planned openings, but they do not establish how successful the broader retail strategy has been. Company statements about expansion are plans, not proof that every proposed location or rollout milestone has happened.
What is the new name for Bed Bath & Beyond?
Bed Bath & Beyond Home was the store banner named for the first physical-store relaunch in Nashville. The Brand House Collective announced the location on July 28, 2025, and said its grand-opening celebration was planned for August 8. The company described the concept as a reintroduction of the retail name, rather than a change to its own corporate identity. The Brand House Collective’s announcement gives the opening details.
There was also a separate corporate change: Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc. said its new corporate name and NYSE ticker symbol, BBBY, took effect August 29, 2025. That is the parent company’s name and ticker, not the name of the Nashville store. The company’s corporate-name announcement describes the transition.
Where is the first Bed Bath & Beyond Home store?
The first announced Bed Bath & Beyond Home store was in Nashville, Tennessee. The July 2025 announcement set August 8, 2025, for its grand-opening celebration. The release also said the store would honor legacy Bed Bath & Beyond coupons at its opening; that statement does not establish a general or ongoing coupon policy.

Is Bed Bath & Beyond opening stores again?
A second, different physical-retail format arrived in Fort Worth, Texas. The Container Store and Bed Bath & Beyond announced that their first co-branded retail location would open May 16, 2026, at 4601 West Freeway. The store brings The Container Store’s organization products and design services together with Bed Bath & Beyond home essentials. The company said dining, bedding, and curtains would join the existing kitchen, bath, and closet departments. The co-branded store announcement provides the location and concept details.

What expansion plans have the companies announced?
In 2025, the company described a franchise model with Home, Kitchen Living, Storage & Organization, and Holiday Shoppe formats. Its announcement characterized the planned assortment as approximately 80% company-curated and 20% selected locally, and said franchise documentation was expected within six months. Those were announced plans; they do not establish that franchise stores opened or that documentation was completed. The franchise announcement sets out the proposed formats and assortment approach.
For the Fort Worth partnership, Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc. said products would roll out in phases across The Container Store’s 98 locations. That figure and phased rollout were part of the company’s stated plan, not confirmation that all 98 locations currently carry the products. The 2026 announcement describes the proposed rollout.
