These were historical promotions, not confirmed current prices. MobileSyrup reported the terms on November 24, 2023, and a November 26 roundup also listed the three offers.
What Fido’s three November 2023 offers included
| Reported price | Monthly data | Conditions reported at the time |
|---|---|---|
| $34 | 40GB | 4G plan; MobileSyrup reported that Fido capped 4G data speeds at 150Mbps. |
| $55 | 70GB | 4G offer available when buying a phone from Fido, selecting $0 upfront device financing, and choosing a “Plus” plan. MobileSyrup reported a $60 monthly price without autopay. |
| $40 | 50GB | 4G plan. The reported $50 base rate was reduced by a $5 monthly autopay discount and a separate $5 monthly bill credit for 24 months. The 50GB allowance consisted of 30GB normally plus 20GB of bonus data for 24 months. |
These terms and the reported 150Mbps cap come from MobileSyrup’s November 24, 2023 report. Its November 26 Black Friday roundup separately repeated the three price-and-data combinations.
How the $40/50GB price worked
The advertised $40 monthly amount depended on two separate $5 reductions from the $50 base rate: one for autopay and another bill credit that lasted 24 months. The extra 20GB was also temporary, lasting 24 months; the reported standard allowance was 30GB. After the credit and bonus period, the 2023 report does not establish the customer’s resulting bill or data allowance, so those should not be inferred from the headline offer.
Why the $55/70GB offer was not a simple standalone plan
The $55 price was linked to a specific purchase: a phone from Fido, $0 upfront device financing, and a “Plus” plan. MobileSyrup said the monthly price was $60 without autopay. The report does not establish that buying a phone elsewhere, bringing your own device, or choosing a different financing or plan option qualified.

Are these prices available now?
Do not treat the November 2023 promotion as a current offer. A CompareZone comparison, whose listed prices it says were verified September 26, 2026, showed different Fido entries: $50 per month for 60GB, and $55 per month for 60GB with Canada-US-Mexico roaming. CompareZone is a secondary comparison source, not Fido’s checkout page. Its September 2026 comparison does not establish whether any of the 2023 plans remain available.
Before choosing a plan, confirm the live price and eligibility with Fido. Check the location or account eligibility, whether autopay is required, how long bill credits and bonus data last, any phone-financing conditions, included roaming and calling, and the data allowance after temporary benefits end.

How the offers were framed in 2023
MobileSyrup described the $34/40GB and $55/70GB offers as responses to competitor offers, and discussed the updated $40/50GB plan alongside a Koodo offer. That comparison is the article’s framing; it does not show that competing plans had matching eligibility, billing credits, data duration, or device requirements.
