Separately, a 2005 MC12 Stradale reportedly sold for $5.2 million at auction in 2025—a collector-car result, not a new-car price.
Why there isn’t a reliable list of the 10 most expensive Maseratis
“Most expensive” can mean a new car’s starting MSRP, the price of a specially specified or limited-edition car, or what a collector paid at auction. Those figures measure different things and cannot be combined into a meaningful ranked list. Maserati’s published U.S. model-year 2027 prices cover eight variants below, but do not provide prices for the MCPURA, MCPURA Cielo, or GT2 Stradale. The available figures therefore do not establish ten comparable prices or a complete ranking of the marque’s most expensive cars.
The prices below are U.S. starting MSRPs for model year 2027, as shown on Maserati’s live U.S. configurator. They are not transaction prices; optional equipment can change a configured car’s price. Check the configurator for current figures before buying.

This is a comparison of those listed variants, not a top-ten ranking of every Maserati: the page includes additional models without displayed starting prices, and the figures do not account for options or bespoke specifications. Maserati’s separate sports-lineup page also lists GranTurismo and GranCabrio starting prices, but does not fill in the missing MCPURA or GT2 Stradale figures.

What is the most expensive Maserati?
It depends on the meaning of “expensive.” Among the priced MY27 U.S. variants listed above, the GranCabrio Trofeo has the highest displayed starting MSRP at $176,200. That does not establish it as Maserati’s highest-priced current car: the configurator does not show starting prices for MCPURA, MCPURA Cielo, or GT2 Stradale.
Maserati describes the MCPURA coupe and MCPURA Cielo convertible as the top of its range in a June 18, 2026 announcement. That is a statement about lineup position, not a published price comparison. The distinction matters: a car’s position in the range alone does not reveal its MSRP or configured cost.

What is the most expensive Maserati ever sold?
Maserati reported that a 2005 MC12 Stradale sold for $5.2 million at Broad Arrow’s Monterey Jet Center Auction on August 13, 2025. In a corporate release published September 1, 2025, Maserati called it “the most expensive modern Maserati ever sold.” The claim is specifically a reported modern-car auction record; it is not evidence of an all-time record across every Maserati, and it cannot be compared directly with a new-car MSRP.
The same release says the sale exceeded the model’s previous record by 37 percent, without stating the earlier sale’s absolute price. Maserati says 50 MC12 Stradale examples were produced: 25 in 2004 and 25 in 2005. That limited production provides context for collector interest, but does not turn the auction result into a list price.

Why special editions and track cars need separate price evidence
Maserati’s special-series page identifies limited-edition cars including MCPURA Cielo Frozen Magma and GranTurismo 110 Anniversario. The available page content does not establish comparable prices for those editions, so assigning them a place in a price ranking would require a separate, dated price source.
The same caution applies to a mixed list of road cars and track-focused models such as the GT2 Stradale. To rank cars fairly, a comparison needs a stated market and model year, a consistent price measure, and clarity about whether each car is a regular-production road model, a special edition, or a track car. A collector auction sale belongs in its own category.
