Revolut announced on 24 November 2025 that a share sale valued the private fintech company at $75 billion. The transaction gave current employees an opportunity to sell shares, but Revolut did not disclose a total deal size. It should not be described as $75 billion of new cash raised by the company.
What happened in November 2025?
Revolut said the share sale valued it at $75 billion. That was a valuation attached to a private-company transaction—not a public stock-market capitalization or a price at which ordinary investors could buy listed shares. The company described the event as its fifth employee share sale, with current employees able to sell some of their shares. Revolut’s announcement and contemporaneous TechCrunch coverage do not establish a definitive total transaction amount.
That distinction matters: a secondary share sale lets existing shareholders sell shares to buyers. It is not the same as a primary fundraising round in which the company issues new shares and receives the proceeds. The available announcement describes employee liquidity, not a $75 billion cash injection into Revolut.
Who participated in the share sale?
Revolut said the transaction was led by Coatue, Greenoaks, Dragoneer and Fidelity Management & Research Company. It also named NVentures, Andreessen Horowitz, Franklin Templeton and accounts advised by T. Rowe Price among the participants. These are investors identified by Revolut; the announcement does not specify the amount each invested or the size of the overall sale.
How did Revolut support the valuation?
In its November 2025 announcement, Revolut pointed to operating results and customer growth. The following figures are company-reported and refer to the periods stated, rather than independent assessments of the valuation:
- 2024 financial results: Revenue rose 72% to $4.0 billion, and profit before tax increased 149% to $1.4 billion, according to Revolut.
- 2025 customer base: Revolut said its worldwide retail customers exceeded 65 million.
- Revolut Business: The company said the unit had reached $1 billion in annualized revenue. Annualized revenue is not necessarily the same as revenue recorded over a completed financial year.
These figures help explain the growth story presented to investors, but they do not by themselves establish how the $75 billion valuation was calculated. The announcement does not provide a valuation methodology or a breakdown of the deal’s terms.

What happened to Revolut’s valuation after that?
The $75 billion figure is no longer the latest reported valuation event. Reuters reported on 22 July 2026 that a further secondary share sale was underway at a reported $115 billion valuation. Reuters attributed that valuation to a person familiar with the sale; a Revolut spokesperson confirmed the sale was underway but declined to comment on its details. The report therefore does not establish that a sale closed at $115 billion or that Revolut formally confirmed that valuation. Reuters’ July 2026 report is the source for the later figure.

What did Revolut say about its expansion plans?
In the November 2025 announcement, Revolut cited Mexico’s final banking authorisation and upcoming launch, Colombia’s banking incorporation licence, and an upcoming India launch as expansion milestones. These describe plans and status as reported at that time; they should not be read as confirmation of current licensing or operating status in those countries.

What did the CEO mean by serving 100 million customers?
Revolut co-founder and CEO Nik Storonsky said in the 24 November 2025 company announcement: “This milestone reflects the remarkable progress we have made in the last twelve months towards our vision of building the first truly global bank, serving 100 million customers across 100 countries.” The 100-million figure was part of his stated vision, not a reported customer count.
