Geordie Emerged From Stealth With $6.5M for AI Agent Security—Then Raised $30M

Geordie emerged from stealth with a $6.5 million seed round in September 2025, then announced a $30 million Series A in May 2026. Here’s what its enterprise AI agent security platform is designed to do.

Geordie announced a $6.5 million seed round on September 9, 2025, as it emerged from stealth. Ten Eleven Ventures and General Catalyst co-led the funding. The London-based company develops enterprise software to help organizations discover and govern AI agents. Its funding story has since advanced: Geordie announced a $30 million Series A in May 2026, bringing its reported total funding to $36.5 million.

What does Geordie do?

Geordie sells security and governance software for businesses using AI agents—software systems that can carry out tasks across workflows with varying degrees of independence. The company says its platform helps organizations identify which agents are present, see what systems and data they can access, observe their behavior, and assess associated risks. The original stealth-exit announcement described the problem as monitoring and governing agents operating independently across enterprise workflows (Ten Eleven Ventures, September 9, 2025; SecurityWeek, September 10, 2025).

In March 2026, Geordie introduced Beam, which it describes as a runtime remediation suite. The company says Beam uses context engineering to feed mitigations back to agents and shape or constrain their behavior. These descriptions explain the intended product capabilities; they are not independent evidence that the software prevents particular attacks or reduces security incidents (SecurityWeek coverage and Geordie product announcement, as reported there).

What is AI agent security?

AI agent security concerns the risks created when AI systems can take actions, use tools, or access enterprise resources to complete tasks. An organization needs to know what agents are operating, what permissions they have, what they do, and how to respond when their activity is unexpected. The practical security question is not just whether an agent produces a plausible answer; it is whether its access and actions remain appropriate within the systems and workflows it can reach.

For a company evaluating this category, useful capabilities to examine include:

  • Discovery and inventory: Can the product find agents across relevant systems and keep an up-to-date record?
  • Access visibility: Can security teams understand what applications, data, and tools each agent can reach?
  • Behavior monitoring: Does it provide visibility into agent activity and alerts for behavior the organization considers unexpected?
  • Runtime response: Can it intervene or help mitigate risk while an agent is operating, rather than only reporting activity afterward?
  • Operational fit: How does it work with the organization’s existing identity, security, and governance processes?
  • Evidence of deployment: What environments are using it, and what evidence supports claims about its effectiveness?

These are evaluation questions, not a ranking of vendors. The available reporting describes Geordie’s intended approach but does not establish independent comparative performance.

How does Geordie monitor AI agents?

Geordie’s description combines visibility with a later remediation capability. Its platform is presented as a way to identify agents, understand their access, and track behavior across enterprise systems. SecurityWeek reported that the company aimed to provide real-time visibility and alerts for unexpected behavior. Beam adds the company-described runtime element: using context engineering to send mitigation back to an agent and shape or constrain what it does (SecurityWeek).

Those claims should be read as product descriptions, not proof of security outcomes. The sources cited here do not provide independent testing of Geordie’s detection, intervention, or prevention efficacy. An enterprise buyer would still need to assess how the product performs in its own environment, what actions it can take, and how those actions fit existing controls.

Who funded Geordie?

Funding event Amount Lead investors Timing and reported total
Seed round and stealth exit $6.5 million Ten Eleven Ventures and General Catalyst co-led; additional angel participation was announced Announced September 9, 2025
Series A $30 million Balderton Capital led Announced May 28, 2026; Geordie said total funding reached $36.5 million

The seed details come from the original announcement by Ten Eleven Ventures (September 9, 2025 announcement). Geordie announced the Series A and total funding figure in its May 28, 2026 company update (Geordie, May 28, 2026).

What has changed since the 2025 announcement?

The 2025 story was a seed-stage stealth exit. By May 2026, Geordie had announced a substantially larger financing and a later-stage product offering. The company reported 1,300% ARR growth in the first five months of 2026; that is a company-reported figure, not an independently audited result. Fortune reported that the platform was deployed across roughly 30 customer environments and named AlphaSense and Owkin as examples. That customer count and those examples are Fortune’s reporting, not an independently verified census (Geordie, May 28, 2026; Fortune, May 28, 2026).

In the company announcement, CEO and co-founder Henry Comfort said: “The organizations today that can safely approve and deploy AI agents are the ones that are capturing a new competitive advantage in their space.” The same announcement said: “Geordie enables teams to take a holistic, defense in depth approach so they can deploy their AI agent systems safely at scale.” These are the company’s view of the opportunity and its product positioning, rather than independent assessments of safety or competitive advantage (Geordie, May 28, 2026).
