Myco, a Pakistani-founded streaming startup, reached the Meet the Drapers Season 9 finale and later reported a deal with the Draper side valued at about PKR 420 million (roughly US$1.5 million). That headline total combines two different things: a reported US$500,000 investment and a US$1 million SaaS services contract. The contract is not equity funding.

What Myco won on Meet the Drapers

Myco was one of seven finalists in the Season 9 finale, listed on the platform’s finale episode page dated 18 April 2025. The page names Tim Draper, Bill Draper and Adam Draper as judges. Reaching the finale is distinct from the later commercial deal: the episode listing confirms finalist status, but it does not disclose funding terms.

Myco’s own Karachi episode page, dated 28 February 2025, describes the platform as a place to watch live sports, news and movies while earning rewards.

How much investment did Myco receive?

ProPakistani’s 4 August 2025 report put the combined value at PKR 420 million, approximately US$1.5 million, and broke it down as US$500,000 in investment plus a US$1 million SaaS service contract. Dawn published a similar breakdown in branded content on 5 August 2025. The figures therefore should not be described as US$1.5 million in investment: only the US$500,000 portion is reported as investment, while the other US$1 million is contract value for services.

Reported component Amount What it represents
Investment US$500,000 Reported investment funding; the instrument, valuation and equity stake were not disclosed in the reviewed public sources.
Draper TV SaaS project US$1 million Reported value of a technology/services contract, not equity investment.
Combined reported value PKR 420 million (about US$1.5 million) Investment plus contract value, as reported by ProPakistani in 2025.

Myco founder and managing director Umair Masoom Usmani said the company completed due diligence, received investment funding, and received the full advance payment for year one of its SaaS/technology project for Draper TV. His statement also said Myco received global streaming rights to Season 9. ProPakistani and Dawn reported the financial breakdown, but the reviewed public material does not include an executed contract or independent public filing confirming the terms.

What is Myco?

Myco is a video-streaming platform founded by Pakistani entrepreneurs. Its episode listing presents a service that combines live sports, news and movies with viewer rewards. Myco’s company presentation, crawled in 2026, lists 22 million registered users, 7 million monthly active users and availability in more than 190 countries. These are company-reported figures, not independently verified audience measurements; the presentation’s publication date was not visible in the search result.

Coverage has described Myco as Pakistani or Pakistani-origin. The founder has previously characterized it as a UAE company founded by a Pakistani, so those descriptions should not be taken as confirmation of its corporate domicile.

What the reported deal does—and does not—establish

The reported transaction shows why a startup “win” total can mix unlike forms of value. Investment can provide capital in exchange for a financial interest or through another instrument, while a SaaS agreement pays for technology or services under a commercial arrangement. The reported US$1.5 million total combines both categories, so it is not a like-for-like measure of capital raised.

Public sources reviewed do not state the investment instrument, company valuation, equity stake, executed contract, or a full payment schedule. Usmani’s account specifies an advance covering the first year of the SaaS project. The founder also said Myco received worldwide streaming rights to Season 9; that claim is separate from the episode page’s evidence that Myco hosted the show.

For comparisons with other finalists, investment should be compared with investment, and contract value with contract value, using the same timing and accounting basis. A combined headline figure alone cannot establish which company raised the most funding.

Where to watch the finale

Myco’s Meet the Drapers finale listing identifies the episode and its seven finalists. The listing establishes that the episode is hosted there; availability, access requirements and the legal scope of any streaming rights may depend on information not stated on that page.
