Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteThe Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti launched at $379 for the 8GB model and $429 for the 16GB model. Retail listings later climbed above those prices: 2026 U.S. price snapshots included an 8GB listing for $487.99 and a 16GB listing for $779.99. Those are examples, not fixed prices for every RTX 5060 Ti.
RTX 5060 Ti prices at a glance
| Price reference | RTX 5060 Ti 8GB | RTX 5060 Ti 16GB |
|---|---|---|
| NVIDIA launch price (April 16, 2025) | $379 | $429 |
| Tom’s Hardware U.S. price snapshot (2026) | $429 best listed price; $319 lowest-ever price | $569 best listed price; $379 lowest-ever price |
| PC Gamer retailer examples (accessed 2026) | $487.99 for a listed MSI card at Amazon | $779.99 for a listed MSI card at Walmart |
The launch prices are NVIDIA’s announced starting prices. The later figures are snapshots reported by the named outlets, not live quotes or guaranteed prices; retailer stock and prices can change.
Why the headline says it might cost $500
$500 is a plausible amount a buyer could encounter in a retail listing, but it is not the RTX 5060 Ti’s official launch price. The PC Gamer price watch recorded an MSI 8GB listing at Amazon for $487.99, close to that mark. Its 16GB example was substantially higher, at $779.99 at Walmart. Meanwhile, Tom’s Hardware’s 2026 U.S. table put its best listed 8GB price at $429 and 16GB price at $569.
These differences reflect distinct listings and price observations, not one standard price for the card family. Board-partner design, seller, availability, and memory capacity matter. Tom’s Hardware also discussed a hypothetical $500 16GB graphics card in the context of memory economics, attributing the example to Gigabyte CEO Eddie Lin; that example is not confirmation of an RTX 5060 Ti model’s official price.

What you get in the 8GB and 16GB versions
NVIDIA lists both configurations as Blackwell-based desktop graphics cards with 4,608 CUDA cores and a 2.57 GHz boost clock. Each uses GDDR7 memory, with capacity distinguishing the two versions. When comparing listings, check the capacity and the specific board-partner model: the name RTX 5060 Ti alone does not tell you which card or price you are looking at.
NVIDIA’s launch announcement also describes DLSS 4, ray tracing, and Reflex features. Those are manufacturer descriptions; the available evidence here does not establish a controlled, independent benchmark comparison of the 8GB and 16GB versions. Do not assume the extra memory makes one model a better value without checking reviews that test the same games, settings, and frame-generation conditions.

How to judge a listing before you buy
- Confirm the capacity. Check whether the product is the 8GB or 16GB RTX 5060 Ti; prices and specifications differ by version.
- Identify the exact card and seller. Compare the board-partner model, retailer, stock status, and current checkout price rather than relying on a family-level headline.
- Know which price you are comparing. NVIDIA’s 2025 launch price, a historical low, an outlet’s dated snapshot, and a current retailer listing are different reference points.
- Use comparable performance tests. If value depends on gaming performance, compare independent tests using matching titles, settings, and frame-generation options. The prices alone do not establish a performance winner.
