There is no reliable, publicly documented net-worth ranking for Billy Graham’s family. The reviewed records establish family relationships, ministry roles, one nonprofit’s reported assets and compensation disclosures—but they do not disclose the family members’ personal assets and debts needed to calculate net worth.
Why a current net-worth ranking is not supportable
Net worth is the value of a person’s assets minus liabilities. The reviewed official biographies and nonprofit filings do not provide personal balance sheets for Franklin Graham or other living family members, or a combined balance sheet for the family. They therefore cannot support a defensible ranking or total.

Online estimates that do not trace their figures to evidence of personal assets and liabilities should be treated as estimates, not verified facts. The reviewed official sources do not validate such totals.
What the public records do establish
Family relationships and ministry roles
Billy Graham and Ruth Bell Graham had five children; Franklin Graham was their fourth child, according to Samaritan’s Purse’s biography of Franklin Graham. The BGEA biography of Will Graham identifies him as Billy Graham’s grandson and Franklin Graham’s oldest son.
#1 Best Overall
The BGEA’s leadership information identifies Franklin Graham as chairman, president and CEO of both the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) and Samaritan’s Purse, and Will Graham as BGEA vice chairman and executive vice president. These are organizational roles, not evidence of personal wealth.
Nonprofit assets and Franklin Graham’s reported compensation
ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer’s extraction of Samaritan’s Purse’s 2024 Form 990 reports $2,464,770,813 in organizational net assets for the 2024 fiscal year. The filing data, shown as submitted September 5, 2025, also report $873,868 in compensation and $71,625 in other reportable compensation for William Franklin Graham III. These are nonprofit balance-sheet and compensation figures—not a personal net-worth estimate. See Samaritan’s Purse’s ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer record.
The distinction matters: the organization’s net assets belong to the nonprofit, not its executives or their relatives. Compensation is reported income for the filing period; it does not reveal a person’s accumulated assets, debts, or net worth. ProPublica’s page says 2025-period Form 990 documents were not available there, although an audit document was listed. The 2024 figures should not be presented as current 2025 personal wealth.
BGEA financial reporting
The BGEA’s 2024 Ministry Report and financial information present consolidated organizational statements, including operating support, revenue, expenses and net assets. Those statements describe the association and its consolidated organizations, not the personal finances of the Graham family.

Rank #3
What can—and cannot—be compared
The available figures can be compared only by category; they do not rank relatives by wealth.
| Publicly reported item | What it describes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| $2,464,770,813 in net assets, Samaritan’s Purse, 2024 fiscal year | The nonprofit’s organizational net assets, as extracted from its 2024 Form 990 by ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer | Franklin Graham’s or any family member’s personal net worth |
| $873,868 in compensation and $71,625 in other reportable compensation for William Franklin Graham III, 2024 fiscal year | Compensation reported in Samaritan’s Purse’s 2024 Form 990 data | Personal assets, liabilities, or net worth |
| BGEA consolidated financial statements, 2024 | The organization’s reported financial activity and position | The personal wealth of BGEA leaders or Graham relatives |
Nonprofit assets, revenue, donations, leadership titles and compensation are not interchangeable with personal net worth. Without individual asset and liability disclosures, ordering family members by wealth would be speculation.
