The July 2024 LVMH Watches leadership announcement covered more than Julien Tornare’s move from TAG Heuer to Hublot: Ricardo Guadalupe was to leave Hublot’s CEO role for an honorary position, and Antoine Pin was to take over TAG Heuer. All three changes were scheduled to take effect September 1, 2024. The announcement followed a separate January reshuffle—and is now historical, with further leadership changes since.
Who moved where in September 2024?
Time+Tide described the July 18 announcement as “more expansive than pundits predicted.” That was the publication’s characterization; the reported appointments themselves show why the change involved more than one CEO handoff.
| Executive | Role before the July announcement | New role | Effective date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ricardo Guadalupe | Hublot CEO | Honorary President of Hublot | September 1, 2024 |
| Julien Tornare | TAG Heuer CEO | Hublot CEO | September 1, 2024 |
| Antoine Pin | Bvlgari watch leadership | TAG Heuer CEO | September 1, 2024 |
Time+Tide’s July 18, 2024 report provides the contemporaneous details and effective date. The announcement described Pin’s prior position as leadership of Bvlgari’s watch business; it did not state a more precise outgoing title.
How the September changes followed January’s reshuffle
The July announcement was a second round of leadership changes, not the start of the 2024 reshuffle. Effective January 1, LVMH had appointed Frédéric Arnault CEO of LVMH Watches, moved Tornare from Zenith to TAG Heuer, and appointed Benoit de Clerck to succeed him at Zenith. LVMH said Tornare, de Clerck, and Guadalupe would report to Arnault.
In its January announcement, the company presented the appointments as intended to support the Maisons’ development and growth. Stéphane Bianchi, then identified as CEO of the LVMH Watches & Jewelry Division, said he was “eager to see what [Arnault’s] unique insights and vision will bring to fuel additional and sustainable growth for them.” On Tornare’s appointment to TAG Heuer, Bianchi cited his “entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional leadership skills and strong international and watchmaking background.” These are LVMH’s stated rationale, not evidence by themselves of subsequent business results.
The September moves therefore shifted leadership again across Hublot and TAG Heuer: Tornare moved on from the TAG Heuer role he had taken in January, Pin joined TAG Heuer from Bvlgari watch leadership, and Guadalupe moved into an honorary role at Hublot.

What changed after the 2024 announcement?
Frédéric Arnault’s successor at LVMH Watches
LVMH named Jean-Christophe Babin CEO of LVMH Watches effective April 1, 2025, succeeding Arnault. Babin retained his then-current responsibilities as Bvlgari CEO. LVMH said Tornare at Hublot, Pin at TAG Heuer, and de Clerck at Zenith would report to Babin. The appointment is documented in LVMH’s March 28, 2025 announcement.
LVMH separately announced that Arnault would become CEO of Loro Piana from June 10, 2025, and said a replacement for his LVMH Watches role would be announced shortly. Babin’s appointment announcement identified that successor.

TAG Heuer and Bvlgari leadership in 2026
In 2026, LVMH announced that Béatrice Goasglas would become TAG Heuer CEO effective May 1. The appointment was announced in an official LVMH LinkedIn post.
LVMH also announced Laura Burdese as Bvlgari CEO effective July 1, 2026. Babin stepped down as Bvlgari CEO at that point but continued in other Bvlgari roles specified by LVMH. The announcement appears in a separate official LVMH LinkedIn post. These later appointments are distinct from the 2024 changes and should not be read as changes to the September 2024 effective date.

What the announcements do—and do not—establish
The announcements establish the named roles, reporting lines, and effective dates. LVMH described its aims in terms of brand elevation, development, growth, and leadership experience. They do not, on their own, demonstrate that the reshuffle improved sales, market share, or other financial performance. The cited announcements provide no comparable performance figures to assess that question.
