Apply through SBI Card’s official application process, then add the card in Google Pay after approval by entering its details and verifying the card with an OTP sent to your mobile number registered with SBI Card. Applying does not guarantee approval, and SBI Card says Google Pay card registration is currently available only to a limited group of users.

How to apply for the Google Pay Flex SBI Card

Use SBI Card’s official application route for the Google Pay Flex SBI Card. The online application asks for personal and financial details; enter them only on the issuer’s official page, not in a message or comment.

Information the application asks for

  • Name as it appears on your PAN
  • Mobile number and PAN
  • Occupation and annual income
  • Email address and city

If your city is not listed, SBI Card’s application page directs you to visit the nearest SBI branch. SBI Card assesses applications using multiple parameters, so submitting the form is not an approval guarantee. The available issuer information does not establish a single credit-score threshold that guarantees eligibility.

Check the fee and current offer terms

SBI Card’s published MITC lists a ₹499 annual fee for this card. It lists a waiver when annual spends reach ₹1 lakh or more in the preceding year. Fees and conditions can change, so check the live MITC and card terms before applying.

SBI Card’s homepage product summary advertises a welcome gift worth ₹1,000 on Google Pay and up to 18,000 Stars in a year. Those are headline claims, not a guarantee that every applicant will receive the gift or earn the stated maximum: the summary does not establish all qualification rules, timing or current availability. Review the current offer terms before relying on either benefit.

How to add your SBI Card to Google Pay

  1. Open Google Pay and go to your profile.
  2. Select the option to add a debit or credit card.
  3. Enter the credit-card number, expiry date, CVV and any other details requested by the app.
  4. Review and accept the displayed terms.
  5. Complete verification using the OTP sent to the mobile number registered with SBI Card. Follow the current prompts in the official apps, since screens and labels may change.

Do not share your card number, CVV or OTP with another person, or send screenshots that reveal them. SBI Card describes tokenisation as replacing sensitive card information with a token for payments; that does not make it safe to disclose authentication codes.

Where you can use the card through Google Pay

  • Tap & Pay: at NFC-enabled payment terminals.
  • Bharat QR: where Bharat QR payments are supported.
  • Online or in-app payments: at selected merchants and services that support the feature.

Having the card does not necessarily mean you can register it in Google Pay. SBI Card says the feature is currently available only to limited Google Pay users, so access is not universal.

If you cannot see or add your card

  • Check whether the card-registration option is available in your current Google Pay app and follow the prompts shown there.
  • Make sure you can receive the verification OTP on the mobile number registered with SBI Card.
  • Consult SBI Card’s current Google Pay instructions and contact the official support channels if the option or verification is unavailable.

SBI Card’s published FAQ states Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher as a device requirement. Because app and operating-system requirements can change, check current Google Pay requirements as well.
