Amazon’s October 2025 shopping event—officially called Prime Big Deal Days—ran October 7–8, 2025. It has ended, so the discounts below are historical examples from Amazon’s preview, not offers available now. Amazon said the U.S. event began at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 7 and was exclusive to Prime members. Amazon’s announcement used the familiar “October Prime Day” idea for a two-day holiday-shopping event, but Prime Big Deal Days was its official name.
When was October Prime Day 2025?
Prime Big Deal Days took place October 7–8, 2025. In the United States, Amazon said the event started at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on October 7. The event is over; its dates and advertised discounts should not be read as current offers.
Amazon described the event as a worldwide launch that included the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and several European, Asian, and Latin American markets. Dates, product availability, Prime eligibility, and discounts may differ by country, so the U.S. timing should not be assumed to apply everywhere. Did you need Prime to shop?
Yes. Amazon said Prime Big Deal Days offers were exclusive to Prime members, and its event guide said membership was required to shop the event deals. Any membership price or trial terms in 2025 materials are historical and should be checked against the relevant country’s current Amazon terms before relying on them.

What early deals did Amazon announce?
In a September 28, 2025 preview, Amazon advertised discounts on selected items in several categories. The table records the maximum discounts Amazon claimed for selected products; it does not mean every item from a named brand received that discount.

These were Amazon’s promotional claims, not independently verified savings or price-history comparisons. The “up to” figures refer to selected products and do not establish the discount on a particular model or its price before the event. Amazon’s event announcement also named popular toys from Fisher-Price, MAGNA-TILES, and Tonies; electronics from Samsung, LG, and Sonos; home and kitchen appliances from Dyson, Ninja, and Shark; and early gift offers from Clinique, De’Longhi, Samsung, and UGG. The announcement identifies categories and brands, not a verified value ranking.

How to judge whether an early deal is actually good
A large advertised percentage is not, by itself, proof that a deal is a bargain. Amazon’s preview does not establish which offers were objectively best. For a current deal roundup, use a comparison standard that lets readers assess the price and the product:
- Check price history. Compare the offer with the item’s usual or recent price, not only its displayed discount percentage.
- Name the exact model. Capacity, generation, accessories, and other specifications can change what a price represents; identify the product clearly rather than recommending a whole brand.
- State the conditions. Make clear whether an offer is limited to Prime members, time-limited, or subject to stock availability.
- Date-stamp live prices. Link to the current product page and state when the price was checked. Do not carry a 2025 event price forward as if it were still available.
How Amazon suggested shoppers prepare
For the 2025 event, Amazon recommended using Lists and Buy Again to keep track of items, Alexa+ to track deals, and Amazon Lens for visual product search.
