To assess CH. Karnchang Public Company Limited (SET: CK), start with the company’s dated filings for actual financial results, then treat backlog and project commentary according to who reported it and when. The issuer reported 2025 revenue of THB 45,535.69 million and net profit of THB 3,328.22 million. The latest backlog figure identified here is different in kind: DAOL Securities estimated about THB 190 billion in September 2025, not a current company-reported balance.
Start with the issuer’s filings for actual results
CH. Karnchang is a Thai construction and infrastructure business listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand as CK. Its disclosed activities include general contracting for government agencies, state enterprises and private entities—as a main contractor, subcontractor, joint venture (JV) or consortium member—as well as infrastructure investment. The company’s investor-relations resource center lists its 2025 Form 56-1 One Report, 2025 financial statements and annual management discussion and analysis (MD&A), along with 2026 quarterly materials.
The company’s financial-highlights page reports the following figures. Preserve each period and metric when comparing them:
| Period | Revenue | Net profit |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 full year | THB 45,535.69 million | THB 3,328.22 million |
| 2024 full year | THB 38,769.91 million | THB 1,445.90 million |
| First half 2026 | THB 24,036.02 million | THB 1,129.33 million |
These are issuer-reported financial highlights, not analyst forecasts. Before using a figure to judge construction performance, check the relevant statement and notes to establish whether it is consolidated, construction-only, or includes investment-related activity, and how the company defines revenue. A six-month result should not be compared directly with a full-year result as though the periods were equivalent.

For a filing cross-check, the Thai SEC’s CK financial-statement index lists the 2025 annual statements and reviewed Q1 and Q2 2026 company and consolidated statements. The Stock Exchange of Thailand also hosts CK announcements and company information; its factsheet classifies CK in Construction Services and describes its contracting and infrastructure-investment activities.
How much backlog does CK have?
DAOL Securities estimated CK’s backlog at about THB 190 billion as of 22 September 2025. The same analyst update described a 2024 peak of about THB 210 billion and estimated that the September 2025 backlog could support revenue for at least four to five years. These are dated analyst estimates, not a current company-reported backlog figure or a company guarantee of future revenue.
The issuer lists its 2025 One Report and annual MD&A, but the available document listing alone does not establish the year-end backlog amount or its calculation basis. Before quoting a newer official figure, check the full report and reconcile it with a current investor presentation or exchange filing. Establish the reporting date and whether the figure counts only signed contracts or also awarded-but-unsigned work, JV or consortium commitments, and what portion is attributable to CK.
Backlog is a measure of contracted or prospective work under a particular definition; it is not the same as recognized revenue, profit, or cash. Even a large balance can convert slowly or unevenly when contract status, project share, execution, margin and billing schedules differ.

Evaluate project exposure, not just the headline total
DAOL’s 22 September 2025 note connected margin expectations to project mix and progress. It named the Orange Line, South Purple Line, Den Chai–Chiang Rai–Chiang Khong double-track railway and Luang Prabang hydropower works as projects progressing at that time. It also identified future progress on the Double Deck expressway and South Purple Line as possible 2026 catalysts. Those descriptions and expectations are dated analyst commentary, not confirmation of current status. Check current company or government disclosures before describing any project as awarded, active, delayed or complete.
For each material project, use a consistent checklist:
Rank #4
- Contract certainty: Is there a signed contract, an award, a memorandum, or only an expected opportunity?
- Ownership and scope: What work is CK responsible for, what is its attributable share, and is the project delivered through a JV or consortium?
- Execution: What progress and schedule are disclosed? Are approvals, land access, interfaces with other contractors or other dependencies relevant?
- Economics: What margin expectations or cost pressures are disclosed, and could the project mix raise or dilute gross margin?
- Conversion: When is work expected to be performed, recognized as revenue, billed and collected in cash?
This project-by-project view helps explain why backlog may not translate evenly into revenue, earnings or cash generation. The September 2025 analyst note supports attention to progress and project mix, but it does not replace current project-level primary disclosures.
A practical source-checking sequence
- Open the issuer’s investor-relations resource center and locate the filing for the period under review: the One Report, financial statements and annual or quarterly MD&A.
- Read the statements and notes to confirm the metric, period, reporting basis and whether the figure includes investment-related activity.
- Cross-check the period with the Thai SEC index and compare relevant company and consolidated statements.
- Use exchange announcements and current company or government project disclosures to verify contract awards, approvals, progress and schedule before making a present-tense claim.
- Label analyst material as analyst material, retaining the firm and publication date. Keep estimates and forecasts separate from issuer-reported actuals.
What to conclude from the available figures
The issuer’s financial highlights provide dated actual revenue and net-profit figures, including full-year 2025 results and first-half 2026 results. The backlog figure available here is DAOL’s September 2025 estimate; it should not be presented as CK’s latest official backlog. A useful assessment therefore pairs filing-based financial results with a carefully dated backlog source and current, project-level evidence on contract certainty, attributable work, execution, margins and cash conversion.
