Rosina Food Products recalled certain Bremer Family Size Italian Style Meatballs sold at ALDI because they may contain metal. Check the bag’s size, best-by date, back-label timestamp and USDA establishment number. If all the identifiers match, ALDI says to discard the product or return it to a local store for a full refund.
Which ALDI meatballs were recalled?
The recall covers fully cooked, frozen Bremer Family Size Italian Style Meatballs sold in 32-ounce bags containing about 64 meatballs. The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said the affected meatballs were produced on July 30, 2025; approximately 9,462 pounds were included in the recall.
FSIS said the product was shipped to ALDI stores nationwide. ALDI’s notice identifies select stores in listed states and Washington, D.C., so nationwide distribution does not mean every ALDI store necessarily carried the affected bags.

Look for the timestamp on the back label and the establishment number inside the USDA mark of inspection. If the bag matches the recall identifiers, follow ALDI’s discard or refund instructions below.
Why the meatballs were recalled
The stated concern is possible metal contamination. FSIS said it learned of the issue after a consumer complaint about metal fragments in the product. In its announcement issued February 22, 2026, FSIS said: “There have been no confirmed reports of injury due to consumption of these products.” That describes the reports at the time of the announcement, not a guarantee about later reports.
